I downloaded it within hours of its release. Actually I was on it before the client had been released thanks to some snooping by other people and posting the server information on slashdot :P Overall, I am not that impressed with the client, nothing that wll want me to move away from GAIM / Trillian / MSN. However, if they do develop some nifty featuers such as good video intergration and stuff I may use. However until then I can just log onto their server using GAIM without having to use the client (It is just a jabber based protocol anyway.) However I do think it looks sleak but still it does not impress me that much. However if you do want to chat or something, canadiancanuck @ gmail.com

I grabbed google's client to start off with, just to see if it was anything special. Found out it wasn't, and plugged the info into gaim to use.

Google owns in everything it tries it seems like. If they take over the world and all information id be happy with that.. as long as they still make good free programs and services.
