have you tried hitting it with a hammer?
Charles rules you all! 08-09-2005, 11:35 PM y dont you take a look inside you computer and make sure everything is connected...if that doesn't work then get a repairman
and if the repairman doesnt work, hit it with a hammer
that seems to be the sensible option
Charles rules you all! 08-10-2005, 04:37 AM Wait a minute if his comp exploded then why can he be here? Only if he has a friend or different comp can he be here on this forum...
Firedove 08-10-2005, 09:11 AM It's beyond repair. Throw it away. Blow up the trashcan. Toss the remains down a waterfall. And never work a computer again.
That should fix your problem.
Drunken_Shinobi 08-10-2005, 08:01 PM If your power supplied fried with your computer...chances are the parts inside will be fried along with it...making it "broken-beyond-repair".
NOWAK 08-10-2005, 08:14 PM im not exactly sure but i think power supplys are about 50$, the same thing happened to me. If thats not the case then get the repair man.
treefalse 08-10-2005, 09:36 PM I got a funny story.
My dad used to fix and build computers for a living. He got a call one time about some poeple having computer problems. They couldn't turn it on. The guy pressed the power button over and over again, eventually getting it stuck. He got furious and kicked the computer, leaving a dent in it.
My dad got there and took a look at what the problem was. He looked behind the computer and say that the switch was clicked off...
revilo 08-11-2005, 05:14 AM what a silly person :bicycle: hehe never really had any problems with computer not turning on and stuff....well not that i remember..
VooDoo 08-11-2005, 09:14 AM I had a similar issue but i was having graphic card conflicts and i troubleshooted it for a week and i later found out my graphic card was fried so i got the new Ati x800. Just cause your system isn't working don't always blame it on the power supply without your graphics card your pc can't operate you just have to think of more issues that can cause a failure like that and think back, what were you doing with your cmputer that you shouldn't have done or what were some obvious problems you were having before the failure.

You remind me of a slightly younger me.
Scotty 08-11-2005, 01:47 PM I'm good with electronics so what I normally do if my PC isn't working is firslty check everythings plugged in, if it is, unplug them. Pick everything up and casualy walk to the top of the stairs. Push the PC down then hit any remains with a sledge hammer. Then phone your insurance company and claim back the money to go buy a new one.
Puppet 08-11-2005, 07:37 PM well i figured out my processor was actualy burning. like smoke commin off of it and everything and the motherboard and cpu were fried. i ordered some new ones and thats for to the people that actualy gave real in put and to the other iall i have to do is shake my head
foulplay 08-14-2005, 03:39 AM Processor.....was........smoking? Arg, you know how long processors take to decompose? Always keep your computer well cooled and plenty of thermal grease (clean it off and replace it atleast once every 3 months) The grease is an inexpensive way to keep your CPU cooler. (seriously like $4/year)
rehabisforquitters 08-14-2005, 03:59 AM dude, if ur processor is smoking, maybe you should spend less money on video games and more on an adjustible dual fan system to cool ur comp.

If you want to spend a few bucks get some liquid metal cooling.....now that'll keep your CPU cool (actually near frozen)
Heyyou27 08-14-2005, 04:55 PM Shut up. Vapo Chill.
Jack92 08-15-2005, 07:10 AM if you wanna keep your comp cool just pour water on it. simple.*
*Jack92 does not advise that you do this and does not take any responsibility if your comp blows up. thank you
Drunken_Shinobi 08-15-2005, 02:50 PM Get the kind of hardware that cools computers...like "fans" or "heatsinks" or "water cooling systems".
Led_Zeppelin 08-15-2005, 09:32 PM When my old computer was dying, my dad just took the shell of the computer off. It didn't do anything really.
Heyyou27 08-16-2005, 01:20 AM When my old computer was dying, I unplugged it and purchased a new one.

You mean the case?
Heyyou27 08-21-2005, 08:11 PM You mean the case?
Yes. He should have just cleaned it out. Pc's suck a lot of dust in, unless you have a sealed case.
viper.gtsr 10-09-2005, 06:57 PM When my comp was dying, My dad replasced the hard drive.
It was broken.
So we got a new one with 4x the memory (80 gigs, my old hard drive had 20 gigs)
murderbydeath 10-10-2005, 05:37 PM when my computer was dying, he spent thousands of dollars of medical bills in the hospital.
