Taken directly from EGM's August 2005 issue (don't say I favored any system)

Playstation 3:
Price: $400 (estimate)
-Spiderman Logo (font used for Playstation 3)
-Wireless boomerang
-No haddrive
+Several Memory slots
+USB 2.0 slots
+-Blu ray disc drive (+ if becomes standard, - if not)
+Almost every AV output imaginable
+3 Superfat Ethernet port (1GIG)

Revolution:
Price: Between $200 and $250
-DVD support sold separately
+Unsupersized
+Super backward compatability
-Wi-Fi only
+Extendability (through 2 USB ports and single slot for SD Memory card)
-No HD support
?Controller

XBOX 360:
Price: Between $300 and $400
+Harddrives for everybody (out of the box)
+Customizable face plates
-"Just" a DVD drive
+Upgradeability
+USB 2.0 Ports
-10/100 NIC, no Wi-Fi
+Xbox Live
-Little backward compatibility

Care to share his source? If it's more reliable than EGM (Sony itself or any confirmed employee blog) then I will update the price. Sorry alot of information has gotten spread on the internet that isn't true. Remember, anyone can post anything, thats both the best and worst thing about the internet.

Edit:
As you might now, the august issue is released in July, and alot can change in a short period of time. Who knows, the price may have gone up, or they may have bought a new wafer factory and reduced costs even more.

nost ppl no adays are now obsest with money they believe that sony lovers will pay any price for there new system so they racked up the price...that is my theory but then again the ps3 costing 500$ may be a well spread rummer (damn my crappy spelling!!)

that is true for most things...and i rather just wait about a year or so until i know what system is the best and when everything is as cheap as the last system...
