i had braces and they do hurt for the first week but after that its fine
except that the braces do occasonally poke u all over ur mouth.
just hope ur dentist dosent say they have to pull some of ur teeth out.

well, the first night is the worst. you go home, in pain, and try to eat. The food is stuck in those things for a long time. Also, if you think you feel any wire poking in the back of your mouth, make sure you ask them to clip it.

ok i just got braces off!! *flashes now sexy smile* im not gonna lie, but they r really sore in the first week!! i went thru millions of pain-relife pills an stuff but it gets betta but sometimes u have to have them tightened, afta it mite hurt. and also ALWAYS wear ur elastics (if u get) always wear them wen u supposed to, I always wore mine and i was really good with elastics and stuff and i got mine off 7 months early!! also they dont get in the way of kissing

I recently got 'em.
They hurt like a bi-tch for the first week and they cut up your cheeks pretty bad.
The food getting caught in there is annoying as hell (gargling helps alot though).
So overall...they suck.

Braces freakin piss me off...they are annoying.

sure am glad that i invested in invisalign. but i only had one tooth that was slightly awry.

Well, when ya do, they absolutley do not get in the way. Shouldn't you have been kissed by bow though? I just made out passionatly with my gf last night... it was great. Didn't get in the way at all.

u have to brush them really well and it hurts when the dentist tightens them ir changes wires

That would take a lot of fixin'. But seriously, I had two teeth that were at a 90 degree angle.

i had braces got them taken out lastmonth but the first week is hell u cnt eat or sleep cause of the pain i went through so many packets of pain killers in the firdt week, but after the firdt week u get used to them and as time goes by u sometimes dnt even notice u have them on cause ure so used to them but enyway just look forward to the day they remove them cause ull be left witha graet teeth and a great smile, they feel really weird when they take them off,it feels like somethin missin frm ure teeth,but if they give u retziners to wear afterward wear them cause ure teeth will just go bcj to thier origional place.
oh yeh bad thinh bout braces are that u cnt eat any chewing gum cause it gets stuck to the braces also nothin chewy which was a killer for me cause i am addicted to sweets.

I've never needed braces but my ex had realy ****ed up teeth (she was American) No offence but Americans seem to need braces alot. Anyhow she said when she got them they hurt like hell. She was catually in great pain for 2 weeks, she doped herself to fkn sleep. Anyways, she was told to drink liquids and soup for the first week. If that helps.

Luckly I caught my acne when it started and treated it with tea-tree oil (I suggest it big time) and it hasn't come back (it's been 6 years using it now). I naturally have perfect teeth, and there was a small gap in my canines and my molars pushed everything perfectly into sync. Just hope you never have to get your wisdom teeth pulled, I lucked out and didn't need mine removed. You'll be living off of liquids for 2 weeks haha. Just yogurt, ice cream, and pain. (Hmm, other than the pain thing that kinda sounds good *remembers how much he loves mexican food* never mind.)

what are you talking about, it's the english that are known for their horrible teeth, and looks. the only reason we tend to have a lot of kids w/ braces, is because we fear one day we'll end up like the bbc.

Correction, It's the royals who haved messed up teeth and I hear of alot more Americans packing braces than the English. The English don't have messed up teeth not in the area i live anyway. I seem to hear alot of Americans saying they need braces though. Nor do we talk with a posh accent or drink tea FYI. Ohh yeah and we don't rush off to burger king or order pizzas every night :P.

Contrary to popular thought neither do Americans. I have only been to burger king twice in my entire life. And I also don't hope to go back any time soon. As for pizza, I have it maybe once a month. I'll stick to my scrambled eggs for breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner haha. (what the hell, it's cheap to make and living on your own (well okay I have 2 other people in the appartment with me) isn't cheap in general, along with going to college full time)

i don't have acne maybe one or two pimples it's just that i have lots and lots of freckles

i dont have acne *snort* hehe nah umm i think i probably will have to have braces awww but my bro had em..and he got heaps of olsars and stuff...and beware..try not to get ur lip stuck in em..that happened to my frend..eeek

braces are alright. not many people notice them and dont really care. i just got mine off recently now have a little wire round the back of me teeth instead of a retainer. i think it stays there for life :S

Most of the time people have to get normal braces.

i wanted to get the see tru ones but my i couldnt cos they were 2 expensive, and i only had mine on for a year (cos my teeth were fine but i chose 2 get braces 2 make them more straight, [so it was mailyly vainity but i feel really bad cos they caused a huge dent in my parents bank account] but its cool now cos dey r OFF!!)
