hi, i'm new to this website, just registered, and i want to get started on clay animations with flash.
i was just wondering what equiptment you need to make clay animations? and what is the package for your computer that you need called? does it cost anything to make these animations, even if you're not putting them on the internet? would i be able to take a tutorial if i don't have the flash equiptment for my pc? it would be great if someone could give me some tips about it, and you will be the first to see any animations i make in the future!

what do you mean, clay animations in flash?
Im not sure exactly what you mean but first off, you need a webcam
some good capture software (http://animateclay.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=24&page=1) (its free and pretty good)

The "Clay" thing you speak of is aslo known and called as modelling and yes there is a package that exsists and it's called swift ver 4.00 you might be able to get it from www.download.com or you can try eletric rains website on a google search and i would also try www.flashdevils.com they have been paid by the company to do a forum and try to sell training videos of the forum but in the plus side they do speak to you on the forums thats why i became a member and they show you some vid tutorials the average price for such a package comes to around £280.00. But i would really try Flash Devils (www.flashdevils.com) dot com cause they really know there stuff. :smokeing1

P.S you would really have to have some past expierence with 3d modelling if you wanna get anything done this year cause if not it's text books and tutorials for you in the next 6 months, and now i'm off to get my ciggarettes and vodka something no good modeller could be without.
