It seems that Australia is still sony infested after the release of the DS

for the DS there was no ads on tv and there was only a small notice on the cover of the games shop in ACT (Electronics Boutique).

but when the psp got released it was on the front cover, and there are ads everywhere.

Probably because Sony happens to have great games and great consoles (or handhelds).

foulplay its because the sony ppl have a bunch of money to spend on that kind of advirtizement, nintendo didnt have much money because it sold poorly for its gamecube which i still believe is better than the ps2.

Charles rules you all!

Resident Evil 4 is like the other Resident Evils pretty much....except this one is way more challenging and you're not fighting zombies anymore. You're pretty much fighting people gone crazy.....but it's harder than you think to just to defeat a bunch of crazy people.
Mostly the bosses in the games are zombies...and also fighting the people themselves is already hard enough....so I say if you want to get scared and you're up for a challenge...play RE4.

How is playing an offline Gamecube game hardcore?

he can beat any game easily (that is a hard core gamer)

Okay. I still don't see how that's considered "Hardcore". Most games are easy to beat. This is why online games are popular. You compete against other players who are as good as yourself or better.

but the only games for online are first person shooters, that he really hates.

Have you ever heard of World of Warcraft? Guild Wars? Everquest? City of Heros? Phantasy Star Online? Starcraft? Splinter Cell? Resident Evil Outbreak?
If you want I can name more. None of these games are first person shooters, yet they are online.

he also hates RPG's he says its a waste of time lving up a character to be the best ever, besides that just cheap, being fair is a lot better.

Not all of those are RPGs.

Are you joking? Nintendo spent over one and a half times as much as Sony on advertising for its gamecube (on initial launch) vs the ps2 (on initial launch). There is a reason the gamecube sold poorly, its lack of innovative and unique games. It's entire selection is made up of a few lackluster GC only titles and then titles that are on all three systems, and look better on the xbox's hardware. Hardware wise, the Gamecube did out perform the Playstation 2, but there is no denying even by a complete fanboy that the Playstation 2 had the largest selection of decent to good games from all genres, Final Fantasy X/X-2 and Bards Tale for the RPG fans, Gran Turismo and Need For Speed for racing fans, Time Splitters and Tom Clancy games for FPS fans, it had something for every taste possible. Even with inferior hardware it had such a massive game library filled with hits and closet hits (Front Mission 4). Playstation 2 also has many more games with online support for free, including Front Mission Online which is comming to a store near you soon.

Don't get me wrong though, I still do HAVE to have my nintendo consoles for my zelda games and Mario games, though I personally feel that Windwaker was a bit of a let down (by bit I mean a HUGE let down). What I am really hoping for from the next Mario is a solid platformer, like back in the NES/SNES days. It's still possible, just look at viewtiful joe. Combining 3D and 2D to give platformers more depth is where I think gaming bliss is at for nintendo. look at "The New Mario Game" or whatever title they're using this week for the DS title, THAT is what I want from my mario games, it's giving me a reason to bust out my DS again.

I suppose you could say that, I have had the combination of 5 spinal taps, mono, and menengitus over the last 3 weeks, and mono is still going strong, along with the back pain from getting so much liquid drawn from my spine. I've been 'here' but just not able to sit for over a 15 minute period without my back going into convulsions.

If it looked like that I would have been pleased, I don't like the dumbing down of graphics due to aiming for a younger audience personally.

there you go again with your bull ****. the graphics werent dumbed down. they built from the ground up to make a game that was originally in shigeru miyamoto's head. that is what the legend of zelda was supposed to look like before ocarina of time, but because the of lack of power in the older systems, they couldnt go for what they were aiming for. this just proves that making "childish" visuals are actually difficult. i have this to ask. if only the graphics were to changed for wind waker, would you have considered something other than a let down? the wind waker was a great game and the visual presentation only added to the game, rather than detract as you make it seem. you may call me a moron, as im sure that is all you will have to say, but what you fail to realize is that you are doing the same **** to me that you accuse me of doing to you. like ignoring things i have said prior to my immediate post. that is how you contradict yourself unnecessarily.

You have to start again? As I said, a good game is defined by balance, and I'm sorry but I have a hard time connecting and feeling like I'm part of the game when it is cell shaded characters.
