I have loads of games i play online so i don't stay up to date sometimes but CS 1.6 is that a new release of it you need to buy or is it that copy you get from valve when you buy half life 2 cause i have that copy.

Counter strike 1.6 is the older version. The newer one is Counter Strike source.

Yes, CS 1.6 is the older one, the one you can buy in the Half-Life Platinum Pack... In my opinion, it's so much more balanced than Source, which is why you still find so many people still hardcore 1.6. Also, you don't need a godly gaming computer to run 1.6!

well i guess i shouldnt have said 'godly' but a standard cheap computer today (2.5-3 ghz processor, 256 RAM, etc) couldn't run it....

i feel that 1.6 is so much more balanced without the gravity gun and the rocket launcher... they just did such a good job on Counterstrike...

I have a terrible computer (1.67 ghz, 512 mb ram, geforce mx420) and I can still rock the source. I used to play 1.3, never 1.6, but this feels like quite an improvement. SO the aiming is a bit more complex, but the physics are a nice touch.

And I hope you didn't mean that the grav. gun and rocket launcher were in source, thats HL2DM.
