The psp can now play emulators today! For people that have a psp and want to no how, goto http://www.psphacks.net/ . The 1.0 firmware has always been able to, but not that many people have that one. NOW, the 1.5 can. That is y i never upgraded when I could of with my 1.5 version.

I think the PSP is waaay better then the DS. I have friends with both and I personally feel it is rather pointless to have two screens. I was even playing it at a store in Europe and it wasn't that great. Many of my friends have PSPs and they love it. I think the PSP will live longer then the DS in the long run due to the fact that most gamers will buy a PSP.

Anyway, within the first few days of the release of the PSP people have all ready completely reversed-engineered it and added hacks and stuff. -.-

the system first of all lasts like 5-6 hours! The psp can play videos, music, photos, and games now! Why would anyone want to emulate a DS when the PSP is better and a competitor.
Also, u have to clean the second screen more since it is touchable. That would get tiring. OH yeah, the PSP games can get updated. Also, u can surf the web with the PSP. So yeah, I think the PSP is better.

I agree with you there. I have even seen movies that are coming out for the PSP, I think it is Hitch. I have seen some vidoes being played on the screen and they look awesome. The DS was a good idea I just don't think it was right for the market now. I don't really feel that two screens in needed. I first asked, why? It is rather stupid. I mean, the only time I have seen games on two screens is with computers, and that is awesome because you have tons more desktop space. As well, I haven't seen any music capabilites for the DS. Can you hook it up to your computer? From what I have heard, you can't or maybe I haven't seen it done.

both made for psp and ds. psp is like watching a movie during actual gameplay. DS is more like, pixel here, pixel here, pixel here, and pixel there.
Psp has umd. Universal media device. that's movies, music, games, and pictures. Psp also takes it to the max with it's wireless ONLINE capability. DS can do what, allow a multiplayer, but only from a max distance of 50 feet away? what is that? PSP requires spending no extra money on anything, unless you want the ultimate steel psp case. Psp has the full package, right out of the box. DS has nothing. im sorry, but DS makes NES look like gaming god.
oh, and i've had both, so i would know what they are both like.
Sold the DS within a month.
but my psp, had it for three months, and still finding new things about it every day.

Espically with the emulation and hacks that are being found, there are just more and more uses for it.

i've got both psp and ds too, like the psp much better (but haven't done too much with either of them lately, cept for yesterday and today)
i wish i hadn't tested out the update thing with my new wireless network ;_;
oh well, i just hope they hack 1.51 soon and can resist the temptation to try the update on 1.52 (came out yesterday)

Just because the PSP can play videos doesn't mean it's the best. I mean Sony is straying so far from regular gaming you can't even call it a gaming system anymore. I like nintendo because it's staying with its roots.

well sure if u only want like a 1 min video or only 6 songs but i can put ahell of a lot of videos and a hell of a lot of music on mine. so if u actulay want to put anything of decent size on ur psp u have to buy 1 of those hella expensive sony duos

i really think that psp seriously owns Ds.
Sure you can do some innovative stuff on that ds, but with all the hacks and emulations being done, the possibilities are endless!

oh, and something that psp can do that ds cannot, it has a wireless internet ability, which i have used. oh and did i mention that online play is free?

The DS will start playing online by the end of the year. It will have some great games loike Mario Kart DS online...and the new Advance Wars online. I think that Nintendo's Online system will be far better than PSP's.
Now I don't like the PSP because of it's game selections...It's game library kind of...sucks and the future of games on the PSP doesn't look too good either. It can play movies...but why buy it for a little screen like that where I can barely watch it when I can see it on my DVD player at home. Music...cool.
Since I am not a PSP expert I can't truly say these things without trying it.
I can say this though.
Both of these handheld consoles are for distinct tastes. If you like variety and technological upgrades then you might want the PSP. If you like to actually play good fun games...get the DS.

You're a moron. True HD resoultion is 1920x1080. The PSP's screen's resoultion is 320x240. Still to what you're good at, being a moron.
