i got bored halfway through the first thing but the mtv date school thing was great! the you got served vid was cool too (where'd that guy get that giant ketchup suit or w/e the hell that is O.o)

Oh dear god, how many people have made stupid videos?! There is likely many many more as well, which is worrying...

Alright... Just one question. In "Simply the Best"... What in the hell was going on? Were they all deaf? And I don't mean that in a bad way... I'm being serious. I'm just trying to think, that, if they were in fact deaf/retarded... What kind of people would put them in the middle of a soccer field, just so they could get laughed at?

No MTV in Canada? You lucky bastard. But how do all your teenagers get their social cue on how to act/talk/dress? There's a show that seems to be on half the time on MTV (my brother watches it non-stop) called Cribs where literally the ENTIRE show is famous people showing off the stuff they have. Or any of their celebrity-based reality shows, where all they do is follow celebrities around as they live their normal lives. MTV is the root of all evil, and I hate it with a passion. The MTV movie awards, I'll admit, have many funny moments, but I don't watch them on principle.

I live in Britain and havn't even heard of MTV before today! If fact, my TV only has about 10 channels, i don't miss anything on them so would I miss much on the other thousands?

In all realms, whether they are the western islands of Britain, the northern icefields of Canada, or the slums of America... One thing is for sure...

We have that show here as well. However, no one really cares about the celebrity crap. I rarely hear girls discussing TV shows and only sometimes the OC. The MTV movie awards were on this weekend and I was tempted to watch them, but Mythbusters was on so I didn't. I have to admit, they are pretty funny sometimes.

Simply the Best is performed by the worst contestents of Idols two from Holland. There was a vote on internet who should have been in there. That's why it seem all kind of stereotypes performing, that's what people find most funny. :P

You all might think that MTV is the root of all evil, but let it be known that it would not exist if people didn't watch it all the time. :) Everyone is to blame here. Plus, their movie awards are better than the Oscars (funnier, shorter, for the short attention span childern of this modern era).

I hate a lot of shows on MTV just for the fact that they have nothing to do with music at all. I will admit to liking the "Real World" and "Punked", Thing ab punked is, it would be just as funny if it were not being done on celebs. Anywho, MTV has definatly put out some very original stuff in the past at least, lets not be so harsh. not trying to sound like a fan boy either, just trying to look at both sides, it has its good, it has its bad. I wouldnt call Canada lucky tho.

where in britain do u get 10 channels as standard? we only get 5 but also have sky digital. everyone I know has either got, or heard of mtv, tho most dissaprove. MTV2 and VH2 are good, as they showcase less of the celebrity lifestyle and more music and events

Well, we used to get sky but then my parents decided that most of the channels where a pile of ****. So a while after the subscription stopped they started to dissapear, one by one, all the half decent ones first. Now we have about 20 I suppose, half of which are shopping channels so they don't count...

Mtv used to be good, i rember the early 90's when they payed beavis and butthead. also to the people with low channels, i get 12 with basic cable, and god is there nothing on!

I get Mythbusters on TV in Australia on SBS. Buster is well and truly dead. This week just gone showed the episode in which they made a catapault out of a cherrypicker on four freight boxes and flung Buster out of it. As soon as he'd landed the Cat fell apart and died, lol. It was great. Got another show on tomorrow night. Mythbusters is way better than MTV, especially now they have Kari, Scottie, Christine and Grant. They're wicked Mythterns and they make the show so much funnier.

I'm gonna buy the series' on DVD if they come out. I hope they do!!
