i am able to get sound onto the flash file i am making but when i try to stop it the graphics stop but the music dosent. plz help me wit this because it is really slowing down my computer!!!

When you to try stop "it"? You mean the .fla file? The .swf? What?

i mean the flash in progress
so say if im running the animation ad i notice something is a bit offtime or a picture isnt qite right. when i press enter the animation stops but the music keeps going

I don't know the specific probs but this may help

Make a new layer add your sound to that layer and nothing else and go to properties when you have clicked on that layer and thers sound options stream,stop,start fck around with that.

P.s stream is so you can scroll the timeline while listening to your sound file with lip sync.
