He wants it to be so he can make something move and add it later, like with a green screen (blue screen also) to edit out and only have the thing not in green there...like editing the backround out... just a guess...

Sorry still don't know what you guys are talking about.

you know when in movies, they film using a bluescreen background? like.. most of the matrix.. thats what hes talking about, except, he wants a program where he could mix his footage.

Adobe Premiere pro lets you do that, its pretty advanced, so take time to fiddle around with it before you throw anything together.

I do but if your talking about CGI you have to go into deatil about what programme your using what effects, plugins, transitions and what your using to 3d model, to totally understand what the hell he's talking about i never heard of anybody that wants to dabble with 3d studio max or use special effects asking what a green screen is. And i aint having a dig at any of you all i'm saying is follow some tutorials first, alot of them cause you really need to know your homework and have a high classs state of the art rendering machine to make nice effects.

p.s But if it's for flash go to properties and change the background colour there that should give you a green screen if were not talking about 3d studio max.

Get a pinnacle trial. I know the full version has it, maybe the trial will let you do it too. Problem is, it wont look that great- most of the ones that can do a real good job cost a real lot of money.
