Which do you think is better?

Im going with revolution only because i dont know what to expect yet. But i love all 3.
Plus if they do what they said they were gonna do with the controllers (one in each hand, no buttons, pressure sensetive) its going to be amazing.
I also think nintendo is finally out of their slump and ready to bring back the quality they used to have. They were the kings for a long time and i think their gonna try and reclaim their throne.

I do expect great things from each system.
xbox 360: Gonna be a lot of media (internet, music, burn cd's, etc)
PS3: Gonna have amazing graphics. Best graphics out of all three hands down. But i think they might be exagerating on the teraflops. They claim it has 3.6 tera flops but their are super computers that dont have above 1.
Revolution: Gonna have amazing gameplay espically with those controllers. If that actually happens then its gonna revolutionize the way games are played.

360 all the way but i will probably get a revolution 2 u know if its as cheap as it should be

they have just started designing the next gta, but it won't be out for quite a while yet, the have liturallly just started designing it. i have a familly member who works for rockstar games. no info has been released or will be released for months but i am a bit of a loud mouth so i couldn't help but say something, it will be on the ps3 FIRST, then others, they are looking at a release date of late 2008 early 2009 but you know wot they are like that wont be ne where near wen it comes out, this is all i know.


and i go xbox and ps3 cause i only ever owned 1 nintendo console (n64) which was crap so i don't trust them ne more and also nintendo tend to go more towards the younger ages with mainly mario and cartoony type of games and being 17 i go for more graphics and gameplay type of games like doom 3, C&C generals, CS, and medal of honor.

my brothers getting the PS3 so i can proberly use it if i wanna and i'm getting the revolution and the N64 was a great system and Nintendo does have some games for the older people but most of their games go for the younger ages because the other systems try and make kids game but they suck so nintendo has to help the littlins.

I will never personally buy a nintendo for the new games, they are all crappy and childish and the graphics suck. PS3 and Xbox 360 will have some aweosme FPS games with some kick-ass graphics. Nintendo used to be my favourite console, but once you become a teen you realize that all the games are made for children.

getting and expensive game console for one good game that will go to the others anyway, stupid... the reason everyone thinks that nintendo has just kiddy games is because the games with the most publicity are cartoony and childish. but most of the childish games are actually intended for teen people, im 15, i own a gamecube and a xbox and a ps2. the xbox lacks something in quality for some games (not microsofts fault, game developers did it) the ps2 has a large lack of quality in games, usually including graphics. the gamecube has games made for every age group and people fail to see the ones intended for the adults because they refuse to believe that a cheaper system may possibly be better than their really expensive system. the graphics go like this 1 xbox 2 gamecube 3 ps2

you really can't argue with that because graphics are mostly based on the capabilities and the amount of time devoted to make the game
quality is usually how fun it is to play the games and replay value
library is obvious but bigger libraries don't mean more unique games.

i am telling you that i am not a fanboy, because the first system i owned was a playstation, then a SNES, then a NES(yes i kinda went back in time, and the nintendo systems belonged to my dad not me), Then PS2, then gameboy advance, then gamecube then xbox. i started out liking sony than i slowly realized that there were better games elsewhere. also i got a job and some money.

i am actually suprised by the outcome of this poll. i really doubt taht the xbox 360will have the worst graphics out of the three. first off sony exxagerates everything. sony has never had a revolutionary console. dreamcast has better graphics then the ps2. the xbox will be incredibly easy to make games for as it is basically a computer while the ps3 uses cell processors, which noone has much experiance making games for. also i cant believe how much faith you all have in nintendo. first the gamecube, then the DS. after the 64, everything went downhill for them. im a macintosh fanboy...but on this one, im siding with microsoft (their greatest decision was basing the 360 on a g4)

people have faith in Nintendo because things went uphill, it has become harder for nintendo to do what they believe in doing for games because now people expect it to have the exact same qualities as the other to companies, nintendo tries to be affordable but still of high quality, and what is so disappointing about the DS, it is definitely better than the old GBA. it also has a higher value than psp, because it does a lot of the same thing with a couple of things different. either way, i would rather have a DS over a psp because it is just worth it, psp does not impress me, and neither does the sony company, i don't know why im talking about it but sony is unworthy of my money.

once again, people think that nintendo is dying. the only thing dying is the support by third parties. and the reason for dying support, nintendo's goal to remain affordable. but even if the lack of third parties, Nintendo can make the greatest games of all time. usually not for casual gamers though, because the games are actually challenging.

I love Nintendo and Sony, and personally dislike Microsoft. I personally feel that all games are on the decline, just Nintendo happens to be ahead of the curve on this one. Who knows though, the console war could go any way as of right now. Anyone could come up with the big new thing.

Sometimes I have to run windows as well, linux being my main operating system. Though I do enjoy experimenting with new things such as Windows Vista, after all good to see what the competition is making Microsoft do. :smokeing1

Quite the opposite, NVidia's are pretty good, while ATI's are for lack of a better word, lacking. That is why I always get NVidia cards :)

May I suggest Ubuntu Linux (http://www.ubuntulinux.org/)? I personally find it to be one of the most balanced distrobutions available. If you need help getting started just contact me on AIM or via email. Also, if you do decide to use it, debian's US servers are a bit screwy so change the update server to canadian (replace .com with .ca) servers.

I'm guessing you didn't know how to read when the Xbox came out. There were many reports of Xbox consoles locking up on the original model. It also lacked a sufficient cooling system, but these are things you obviously know nothing about.

I have an original model PS2 and it still runs beautifully.

Well, seeing as how your choice doesn't matter because you have 'baller' and '69', two of the most idiot things a person can put in their username, in yours, I'll just leave it at saying that Nintendo does not suck, they're brilliant in marketing. They don't have to make their systems as high tech because they already have a clear cut of the market that will buy their systems because it has big first party games that everyone knows about. Everyone loves Mario games and a lot of people love Pokemon, whether or not you want to admit it. Nintendo is great at making games, that while not neccessarily visually amazing, they are fun and addictive, which is all that matters in most peoples eyes. Yes M$ and Sony will have FAR superior hardware, but do they have the following that Nintendo has? No. They're also going to be hurting when it comes to the price of the consoles, not everyone is going to be willing to spend $400 on a console, and that doesn't ever cover games or accessories (though the hardware in those machines is amazing for the price). I myself am thinking of buying a PS3 simply to mod and put a real harddrive in it, 500+ gig and SATA if supported by the motherboard, and having an extremely cheap linux server. Linux will support cell processors, PS3 Harddrives will come with linux pre-installed. Think about this, a 1.8 TFLOPS PC for $500, that has 1080p resolution, Yessir, I'll be hooking that up to my HDTV.

first of all ps2 sucks i mean the frame rate is not that good. It has some good games but it's not the best. Play spiderman on Ps2 then play it on the other consoles. Ps2's frame rate sucks so bad that it lags everywhere. GC and xbox's are smooth and has good graphics. Resident evil4 for GC has better graphics and smooth gamplay unlike Ps2. So what make's yall sony fans think Ps3 is going to be a whole lot better, sure taking ps one's 32-64 bit grapics and enhancing 4x better, but their not going to do that with Ps3. I personally think Dreamcast is better because Dreamcast and ps2 has the same bits, but the dreamcast has most of the arcade games that i like (house of the dead) and more. Just because Ps2 was the cheapest dvd player in japan don't mean squat.

seriously, if you are going to criticise a game console, get it right. first off, the sony PS2 can run laps around the Dreamcast. secondly, the Xbox and gamecube came out a little more than a year later than the playstation 2. hence faster technology.

Considering it's Geforce 7 based and consists of 302 million transistors is looks just like the Geforce 7800 GTX, I'd think you can guess what it'll look like.
This is not a bad card at all, for a 400$ game console; but it's not the ultra realistic graphics both Sony and Microsoft claimed.

I think the processors were supposed to take a bit of the load off the graphics card, I could be wrong though.
