Everybody always seems to be hung up on the newest consoles only. I still own the original NES that we bought in 1986. And I have fond memories of playing Atari when I was young. You can't fully appreciate today's games until you've played Frogger on a 2600

ill agree and say the is nothing like living those first few years of gameing that i had. i mean the NES and atari 2600 were the greatest because the are original unlike ps2 xbox gcube which i like to play all 3 its nothing like going back and playing super mario bros 3 again and again. and then pac man on atari. with the next gen consoles coming out i have a bad feeling that 90% of all new games are going to rely on the new systems graphix capabilitys and have close to jack **** in the story/gameplay/innovation.

the gamecube has some of the most inventive games to date.
and the dreamcast just came out at the wrong time because it was beaten by a bigger name system, if not for ps2, the dreamcast would of realized a full life, and it should of because ps2 sucks hard.

i hope you do realized that the guy that created mario still works for nintendo to this day and he is continuously working on new, inventive versions of some of the games you played in you past. it may have the same premise but it is still the original work of shigeru miyamoto. if you played zelda for the NES, then you would get a different experience from the newer ones, you still fight evil as link with the master sword but the evil one changes, the story of the land is different, and just the whole adventure is different. you should get a gamecube and play the newer ones. just to see how things have changed since your time.

I vote dreamcast, Technology wise waaaaay ahead of its time, it was very innovative. Also i love minigames and memory card that doubles as a protable game is freaking awesome.

That and powerstone, that game ROCKED

Not sure as of right now, I'll look into what could call that. I know certain catalysts don't like certain games. I suggest you email NVidia about your problem, maybe it will help them fix it in the future. I am still using old drivers myself.

It's fine that I rolled back to 77.30. Also if you're not using that you may have problems on Battlefield2. When I tried using 66.93 it wouldn't let me use shadows on high quality.

Not sure about that problem, but I know Battlefield 2 has had a LOT of problems with stability. I hope that they will get most of the bugs fixed by 1.05, but I'm not holding my breath. On networks with multiple PCs (and a certain brand router) it sometimes has trouble connecting to the account server at all (can take upto half an hour).

But now I'm running on 77.30 drivers and the patch that's for Battlefield2 on Nvidia's site. It's fine now. Also I connect to the account server in a few seconds. I have a D-Link with no connection problems. :happy:
