I saw a quote from a nintendo developer that said they are planning to get rid of buttons. He claimed it will be similar to using a stress ball.

no dude i met this guy in person once and we went to noa he showed me around and we talk online now he really does work there and those are rrelly controller pics he might have made them but i douhgt it cause he would have no reason too. i neva said that was the final product that might be an old model but he siad that that is the latest finished version and this was like 2 weeks before e3 so stop getting al mad jeez, i hope the controller dosnt look like that either and they they do somthing relly inventive but i was just telling u the latest news i know so jeez. simer down man

nintendo in no time ever in their history would think of creating somthing as ugly and unusable as that, thats not the "Latest" news. They have the controlller done and are working out a few kinks, they could have presented it at E3 but didnt want people stealing their ideas like sony did with the analog stick and rumble feature. It's fake. It's a completley unusable controller. The pics or their controller I posted in the Revolution thread looke better and more usable than this.
Also, should these pictures happen to be real, and the guy who gave them to you DOES work nintendo, then this guy is commiting a criminal offense by leaking copyrighted information.

first things first, to get in to the noa building u either a.)have to work there b.)be invited, kinda like a reporter for a game mag or sumthin.
getting in is not easy at all even if u were with sum1 that works there.

Your "friend" from NOA really pulled one over on you...

There are soooooooooooo many reasons that can't be real, I don't know where to start:
1. Just look at it. It's a s**tty Maya (or other software) render of a horrible controller. I could've made you a pic of a controller that is much more usable and good-looking in Maya in an hour or so.
2. It looks like s***. Nintendo would never make something that ugly.
3. There is 0 innovation in it. No one in their right mind would want to steal that idea, yet Nintendo has been covering it up for so long. It doesn't add up.

4. It's impossible to use, unless you're good at squeezing the controller in certain spots, and even then, the idea is terrible.
5. Where's the Start/Select buttons? Every Nintendo controller and handheld to date has had a Start button. Pfft, this guy didn't even try...
6. Your story sucked. How did you meet this guy? Do you even live near NOA? I doubt you even know where it is...
7. How did you get the pix on your comp? Those weren't scanned or photographed...
8. I still remeber the NintendoON incident from a while back. If I know you as well as I think I do, you can't be trusted.

Nintendo isn't stupid they wouldn't use that first one and the controllers wouldn't be in the US nintendo office they would be in the main office in japan so ouooet whatever you said about some friend working on the controller is bull **** they made it in Japan

I personally do not like it. I would have to physically use it to get a good idea, but I don't like the design of it.
