These systems are different that the average Wii, in the sense that they not only come with a hard drive, but they also store full games. To the games being on the hard drive, Microsoft does the same thing with Xbox360 developer kits; do you honestly think a developer wants to press a new disc every 15 minutes while developing and testing their games? You can even buy a few FULL PS3 games on the Playstation network and play them from your hard drive, some as large as 9GB. It'd be nice if Nintendo offered an actual storage solution as I'm one of those crazy Wii owners who has completely filled up it's measly 512MB of flash memory, and have had to delete games I've paid for.

Still, it's nice that kids in the hospital will get to play the Wii and at least make part of the experience better, but it was only 2 consoles.
