A Remix of the Hyrule Temple theme using loads of sfx from Smash Bros Melee!

Yes, it's audio, not video!

And this one is actually *gasp* creasted by yours truly!

If you're interested in my life and the background behind this file, read on. If not, scroll to the bottom and just download the thing.

Ahem, ok, so I recently finished an audio project for my IT class involving sounds ripped off a certain Gamecube title, an OC remix of the hyrule temple theme from SSBM, and some sweet drums and drum loops. There's even some other instruments mixed in there, if you listen close enough.

Made it entirely with ACID. (for non-techs, here's a screenshot (http://geekspeak.org/articles/10/screenblast_acid_start.gif) of the program [i didn't make that shot, and that's not my project])

Creating it was a daunting task. It inquires:
1 OC Remixed track, courtesy of OC remix
37 Audio FX and voices ripped directly from my Cube
1 Drum loop, courtesy of looperman.com
8 other instrumental audio fx, courtesy of looperman.com
and 3 generic sound fx, courtesy of random websites found using altavista
Making for a total of 50 sound channels, which (if you've ever mixed sound) can get very messy and confusing.

Nonetheless, I finished it in an orderly fashion.

I couldn't think of a better name for it, so if you think you can, PM me by Thursday, and I can use it in my presentation (yeah, haven't presented it yet).

I zipped it, cuz this upload device doesn't like mp3's...

Not bad...some of it has too many sfx, or sfx that just don't fit. Some of it kicks supreme ass though.

Wow, that's gotta be the biggest compliment anyone's ever given me!

I kick supreme ass! Hell yeah!

Oh, and John, feel free to put this on frontpage if you want to.

Had to *bump* this due to lack of views and comments.

Just curious, is there an easy way to get a good version of ACID cheap, or free maybe? Possibly a way that isn't illegal? *I could do it illegally, but...*

I've worked with ACID before at school, so I'm familiar with it...I just don't want to spend much on a piece of software that I'll use for occasional projects.

^Yes, you can download a free trial here (http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/Products/ShowProduct.asp?PID=928).

Unfortunately it's only good for 30 days, so choose your download timing wisely...don't just download it if you don't plan on doing a project anytime soon...

I'm not sure whether it is able to detect that you have previously had it installed if you uninstall it and reinstall it. Some companies are too lazy (or just don't care enough to) make a record preventing you from installing it twice in your registry...

Make of it what you can. Hope it helps!

Wow, you're so modest...

^So, does that mean you liked it?

Or are you being sarcastic?

Dont bump your own work more than once, people looked at it, and decided if they wanted to comment already.

You seem to be the king of critisism around here, not a bad thing, but its bothersome to have somebody begging for comments.

Your music is good, not great, but not bad either.

Not everyone did, Jag...

Most of the people I know on this board haven't been around for a while (namely John ), and I wanted them to get a chance to see it.

King of criticism? Who am I criticizing? Are you sure that's what you meant to say? That doesn't make sense...

But if you meant that I'm a comment wh0re, then I can't really disagree  . It's not that I'm intending to keep this thread on too long, it's just that the few comments that people left were obscure and nonspecific, and I really wanted to know what people thought of it. Is that too much to ask?

Your music is good, not great, but not bad either.
Thanx for commenting. Heh.

Oh, and I recently realized the volume is set WAY too high (sound gets staticy at peaks of volume), so sorry about that one. I might edit it later, but there's really no point now...

And if you guys were wondering, I ended up presenting it to my IT class today, rather than last week (scheduling issues). The speakers my IT teach has suck and have way too much bass to hear anything clearly, so no one really got to hear it :Confuzzle . Oh well, at least teach thought it was good.

I meant that you are always the first one to comment on every thread and not everyone is like that.
