View Full Version : The Spirit World
gabrielwhist 06-07-2008, 03:59 AM Completely Original: This is an RP I'm currently running on another site. I thought we needed a serious RP to start us off. Please don't spam it. If you do I'll just delete the post, so you're wasting your time and mine.
All around us, at all times, spirit world layes hidden beneath our own. A woman you pass on the streets may really be a hag, a troll, or a kitsune. However, despite these two worlds intermingling, humans cannot see or sense the spirit world, save for a few. All people are born with a spark within them, some peoples spark naturally burns bright enough to see and access the magical plane, but most need a focusing medium. A focusing medium is a special crystal that, when touched, links to a persons soul, and takes on a form befitting them. This focusing medium anchors them to the spirit world, and allows them to see, sense, and interract with the spirit plane around them. Everyone who has accessed their spark can utilize their spirit power in the same basic attacks, but above this, everyone has a unique soul that manifests itself with unique abilities. For example, everyone can unleash a wave of spirit power that will physically damage the opponent, but the strength of the attack is dependent on the strength of the persons soul and character, be it good or evil either way the strength is the same, its based on the strength og your will, not how you use it. Furthermore someone with a fire spiritl may release their blasts as fire, while someone with a water spirit may release theirs as a wave, for example. In the spirit world struggles constantly wage between diffirent courts and powers, alliances forming and being broken, wars beginning and ending, mercenary knights roam in large troops, available for hire.
At this point in time two main courts have risen to power, lets say the Seelie and Unseelie courts for simplicity's sake. The courts entail spirits, fairies, and human mages that actually belong to the courts, as well as mercenary bands. The Seelie Court wants to seperate the spirit world from the human world permanently, to create a more beautiful and pristine existence, believing that comingling is disgusting chaos (though individuals may have their own personal reasons). The Unseelie Court wants to merge the two worlds fully, believing that true beauty and wonder comes from natural chaos, and the absolute absence of order. (Again individuals can have personal reasons.) The third faction, though significantly smaller and less powerful, wants to maintain the balance as it is, believing this is the natural order of things, and are called the Balance.
The basic classes are Spirit Walker (human that can access the spirit realm) and Spirit/Faerie (mythological ones only.) Please stick to serious races, no butterfly sized sprites and the like.

No Godmodding, no powerplay. (I will be running this more strictly than some RP's, and as such I want no more than 5 or 6 members to join. Others may be able to join later, but I want a small starting basis. This also means I may prevent you from gaining new abilities to soon if it conflicts with the storyline.) No multiple characters. Your character may die at some point, and you can restart with a new character of similar experience, but you may only do so when it fits with the plotline, and no more than once or maybe twice.

Form of the Focusing Medium: A ring
Manifestation of your Spirit: Wind and sound manipulation, including resonance and resonant frequency specifically.

Introduction to the Spirit World: He found a focusing medium crystal in a deep cave that he fell into while playing in the woods with his friends. It was planted in a stone pedestal.
Faction: Highest Payer (currently the Unseelie Court) but eventually joins the balance.
Ryu-Nacho 06-07-2008, 09:30 PM Name: Varghan
Age: 53
Gender: Male
Race/Class: Spirit Wolf
Appearance: In the Spirit World, Varghan much resembles a normal wolf in the human world, except for being the size of car, as well as a small crystal planted into the head as a child. When he takes on human form, he becomes a tall, well built man. (Think Jet from Cowboy Bebop, but with more hair.)
Form of the Focusing Medium: Unnecessary.
Manifestation of your Spirit: The ability to create an area of absolute darkness, as well as piercing such darkness in able to see obstacles and opponents. If it is already dark, this power has a greater area of effect, and is hard to dispel. If it is light out, this power may not even work.
Relevant History: Varghan was born into the Ragna clan, which consists of three families. Varghan's family is headed by Hati, who generally only interact with the human world at night. The second family is headed by Skoll-they generally interact only during the day. The most powerful family is headed by Fenrir. They take care of most of the political issues the clan must deal with, as well as support for the other two families if the situation calls for it.
How you were introduced to the spirit world: Born in Spirit World. However, all members of the Ragna clan are born to hunt and devour humans. For this reason, each member is introduced to that world by a trainer at an early age.
Which faction you fight for: Unseelie, though for a different reason than most others within the faction.
Heyyou27 06-07-2008, 10:32 PM Are you being serious?
Ryu-Nacho 06-08-2008, 07:41 AM I don't see what anyone has against RPs. It's just like writing a normal story. Or is there something wrong with that now too?
Heyyou27 06-08-2008, 11:07 AM I don't see what anyone has against RPs. It's just like writing a normal story. Or is there something wrong with that now too?I don't really have a problem with it; you guys can do what you like. I just find it a bit funny that Gprime's little troll gabrielwhist likes to do it, and the fact that he came up with the idea makes it that much better.

Natus Lumen 06-08-2008, 09:58 PM Just a little. Not in the conventional internet sense, but in the normal human sense.

Humans can't see and interact with the spirit world until they become spirit walkers.
gabrielwhist 06-09-2008, 07:40 PM BTW guys, I kinda suck at running this one. I don't really know what do with it, it was my first attempt and it hasnt been very good on my RP forum. I think its easier to do a fan based, and its easier when people free play without too many guidelines.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-09-2008, 07:45 PM Humans can't see and interact with the spirit world until they become spirit walkers.

We'll use this RP as a test run. See what we need to add and subtract for future attempts.

Well, just saying, you won't be able to do anything until you become one.
We'll use this RP as a test run. See what we need to add and subtract for future attempts.
Yeah, ok. I'm just not so great at running the RP, I'm better as just a player. But I'll try.

gabrielwhist 06-13-2008, 12:07 AM Ok. This sucks. I just wrote like three paragraphs and then gprime logged me out, and I'm not rewriting all of it. Heres the story, minus the reflection on Drake's character.
Drake stepped off the subway car onto the derilict, and supposedly closed, subway platform that was stop thirteen on a twelve stop subway line. Reaching under his leather side coat he felt the comfort of his sword hilt. Such precautions were necessary in a place like this. Spirits and fey of all sorts roamed the platform, not all of them friendly. A goblin here, a troll strolling there, a kitsune wove its way through the crowd, a vampire buying illegal unicorn blood. Yes, this was a place for care and watchfulness. Looking around Drake spied his contact sitting in a corner, a wood changeling, complete with brown bark skin, and green hair, vines hanging from his skin. Walking over Drake asked, "Do you have the package?"
gussa 06-13-2008, 02:18 AM Rayne listened to their conversation. he knew not what was happening but he knew his orders.
"follow our agent and make sure he doesnt cross sides. but dont let him see you... he preffers taht we imply trust him but we cannot take risks like that with an item this valuable".
the conversation between the two ended. the man handed drake an object wrapped in a black rag and Drake began to depart.
Rayne followed...
gabrielwhist 06-13-2008, 03:19 AM ((Careful Gussa, thats god-modding amigo. And Drake wouldn't be being followed. He is the second in command of his Merc. group, i.e., the leader trusts him above all others and has no need to follow him.))
"Yeah, yeah, I got yer package." Veridius griped. "Here, and remember, you never saw me." He gulped, handing Drake the package wrapped in light grey spider silk. "Thank you." Drake said. "Heres your payment." He handed the creature a small vial of gold dust, Angel Dust. 3 ounes, as promised."
gussa 06-13-2008, 07:52 AM ((rayne was supposed to be following him BECAUSE he was part of a merc group... rayne being ordered by the people who hired said merc group... sorry if it was god modding but seriously, what could i have done from that situation P.S. im going to assume that this is set in at least semi present day time and giving rayne a wire))
"rayne check in! everything going to plan?" a voice cracked into his ear
"calm down man. yes it all going fine" he said
"jeez i don't even know why you dragged me out here.. its a simple pick up.. i doont see why i have to sit here and play baby sitter on the whole ordeal"
"that package is not in the least bit 'simple'. it's vital to our entire operation" the voice craced again. slowly becoming agrevated with rayne who despite his age was still a whiny teenager.
"i know i know... the package thats so top secret that you wont let me even know what im not allowed to know about it."
"thats right now just do your job and try not to screw this one up ok?" the voice patronisingly said before clicking out.
"chirst i could be doing something exiting but noooooo.... 'sit in a corner and watch a man talk to a fucking tree while they play swapsies'. fucking heirachy".
((so as not to "god -mod", ill let you be the one who makes you turn around and stuff k?))
Dudeo 06-13-2008, 04:08 PM ((Note: character name is now Kaede. Dudeo doesn't fit the story.))
Kaede stirred from his position behind the trash bags. He had been sleeping for the past eighteen hours, and was into the better part of the ninteenth when a sudden buzzing in his ear awkened him.
The passing feet had hardly disturbed his sleep, but the transmission frequency gave him a headache. He knew somebody was receiving nearby, because that was the only time it affected him. Probably a merc, he thought, transmissions were their sort of thing.
Well, it would be over soon. Besides, he had places to be. He seemed tired all the time nowadays, but that could be because he hadn't eaten since he could remember. He still didn't feel hungry, but he made a mental note to attempt to have lunch today.
The men nearby didn't bother him, and for the most part, he stayed out of the way of mercenaries. He could easily deal with mercenaries if he had to, but, for the time being, they were not his enemy. He needed to conserve his strength anyway.
He pulled his socks on tighter and made his way through the crowd of creatures.
gabrielwhist 06-13-2008, 07:03 PM "Mmmm." The creature said, licking his lips. "Very good." Veridius scuttled away into the shadows.
"Fucking druggies." Drake mumbled, heading past him to the subway entrance. Opening the door, he stepped out into a teeming outdoor market, thronging with spirits in what was an old abandoned section of town for the human world. Weaving his way through the crowd Drake made it to the drop off spot. "Come in Arkus." He said into the walkie talkie. "I have the package. Pick up needed."
Ryu-Nacho 06-13-2008, 11:28 PM (OOC: Sorry for the late start, haven't been on Gprime for a few days, been busy. Also, I can't see Varghan tying into the current situation you guys are playing, so he's doing something a little different. He's in the same general area though. Also, permission to control character and what not.)
"Just open the God damn case, and show me what you have, merchant." The scrawny kappa behind the counter hesitated, still trembling at the imposing figure before him. "A-alright, I'll open the case. It's normally reserved for 'special' customers though."
Varghan chuckled a bit, replying, "I don't think you know who you're talking to. If the Ragna clan isn't special enough, we've got some talking to do."
He opened the case, revealing his best weapons. Varghan had taken an interest in these toys the humans made-they were unlike anything found in his native world, and tilted the hunt even more to his advantage. Various weapons lay inside, all of them very useful. Short range weapons like special clubs and swords. Sniper rifles. Varghan's favorite though, was the chain gun in the bottom. A weapon that could turn a suitable man into a tank-what would it do for a monster?
"Merchant, how much for the case?"
"Wh...The case?!"
"With everything inside, yes."
"Tons! Do you think you even come close to the amount?"
Varghan pulled a pack off of his back, and handed it to the gun dealer. The kappa opened it carefully, suspicious of what may be inside. After a few seconds, he glared at Varghan. "This...how did you get so much, and why do you carry it around so casually?"
"It doesn't matter," Varghan replied. It's only natural I'd have so much after devouring the filth of this world.
"And what of the weapons? What do you intend to do with them? Why would anyone nee-"
"Just tell me. Is it enough?"
"Um...No."
The kappa jumped back as Varghan slammed his fist on the table, snarling in anger. "How much more, merchant?! Or is it that you refuse to sell me these weapons?!"
The gun dealer set the pack on the counter, and sighed wearily. "I'm sorry, but I can not so easily sell this much to a single man without a good reason. You refuse to give me your reason, so I refuse to sell them."
"Old man, you deal in blood and warfare. Such is the purpose of these toys. Why does it matter to you who buys and who doesn't buy?"
"I'm sorry, theres just something about the transaction you want to make that I just can't follow through on."
A few guards in the back, employees under the dealer began to rile up a bit, brushing over the triggers of their weapons, and flexing their claws.
"Whatever. I know better than to start a commotion, so I'll just try again some other time." Varghan stormed out of the small corner store, swearing and cursing the old man's name, and began towards the next potential transaction.
gabrielwhist 06-13-2008, 11:40 PM Drake noted, with mild interest, a slight commotion between a kappa merchant and his large overbearing customer. "Pick up needed NOW, Arkus." Drake hissed, just as a small military transport helicopter flew over the bazaar, and circled around to settle in next to him, with Arkus sitting inside. "Conspicious enough!?" Drake huffed, hopping inside. "Don't worry Drake." Arkus soothed, "Its glamored. As far as mortals are concerned this is just a rather large and annoying fly. Now then. Lets get airborne. Take us up pilot." Upon his instruction the helicopter lifted off, and flew off to the North, into the forests beyond even the abondoned areas of the town.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-14-2008, 06:17 PM ((Seriously gabe, "glamored"? Let's just forget this and read "Tithe" for god's sakes. Be original! Anyways, I'm obviously very, very behind, but I think I'll see if this works.))
Adirae slowly made her way through the bazaar's crowd, nibbling on day old twizzlers from her pocket. She couldn't decide what she enjoyed more: the foreign trinkets on each table, or the even more varying crowd. She didn't know what it was about the place, but something...mystic made the air jump. Between her and every being in the market pulsed an energy that she couldn't explain. Everywhere else people felt so...dead. Here was where she was most happy. Her senses buzzed; the smell of lamb and cured meats hung about her, and light shone off all the silver ornamenting the tents. She decided that there was no need to rush, so she went off in search of her favorite merchant.
As she approached she heard angry speech being exchanged:
"How much more, merchant?! Or is it that you refuse to sell me these weapons?!"
She searched for the source of the voice. Some muscled jerk, probably thinks he's all that. After some more rough words, the customer stormed off.
"Hey, Jeriah, what'd that asshole want?
"He was pushing for a weapon from 'that' collection, and I wouldn't give it to him, so he blew up at me. You know how I hate when customers yell."
"Sorry I didn't get here sooner, J. At least it was you and not some one who would've given in. He doesn't look like he needs any help from a weapon. Why'd he say he needed it, anyways?"
"That's the thing, he wouldn't, and I can't just recklessly give away dangerous machines to 'no reason's"
For some reason, Adirae was very interested in finding out the reason behind this jerk's desired item.
"Listen, I'll be back soon, J, I think I'll just...take a stroll."
She made her way out of her friend's tent and into the bustling crowd outside. After mixing about for awhile she spotted him, looking to harass another seller, no doubt. Watching carefully, she followed him from a distance...
Ryu-Nacho 06-14-2008, 08:47 PM "Damn that merchant," Varghan muttered under his breath. "He'll regret not selling me the weapons. Soon enough, he will simply lose them, and gain nothing in return." A man crossed his path by accident, only to be met with a harsh shove. He fell to the ground, angry and attempting to identify who had pushed him over. But when his eyes met Varghan's, he simply apologized and ran off.
"Cowards, the whole lot of 'em."
"Vaaaarghan, look out, you're about to walk by your favorite store." Off to the left, the proprietor of a small and expensive charm shop called out, beckoning the large man with a sly smile. She was an enchantress. She created magical rings, necklaces, and other small, easily carried items. And she really was Varghans favorite, though not necessarily for her store alone. She sold other 'services' to customers in the know.
Ah, my last stop for the day. Perhaps I'll have better luck here than the last few ventures. "Cassilda, how are you?"
"Oh Varghan, I know you're not out for a chat. What brings you here today? Business, or pleasure?"
"I have no time for pleasure today, woman."
"Didn't you say that last time?"
"Hmph. Just show me whats new."
"Why certainly my dear."
Cassilda laid a number of things out on the counter, and gave him some time to look them over, detect what he could on his own from them. As he was eying what he believed to be a potentially powerful necklace, Cassilda spoke softly, "Varghan, is that girl a friend of yours? She seems to be staring at you, while trying to stay hidden." She pointed towards the doorway casually, trying not to alert her just in case.
Varghan turned around, but the girl vanished from sight before he could see anything. "No, she is not...I happen to be alone today...Cassilda, keep these out for me, I'll finish looking later. I need to see about this girl first."
"Certainly, Varghan. But please, don't kill her. Not in front of my shop, at least."
"Hah, I'll think about it."
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-14-2008, 09:26 PM She watched as he entered a shop. This one was harmless enough, she had been there once before. She'd even bought a locket for herself with some birthday money, though she barely ever wore it. Actually, now that she thought about it...it was an awfully strange necklace...kinda gave her the feeling that she was glowing from the inside whenever she wore it. She reminded herself she wasn't here to reminisce about a dumb necklace, and got back to watching that chump. From the looks of things he knew the shop keeper well. As she was watching the shop keeper gently poked her finger into the air.
"Oh shit, she must have seen me." Aridae thought. She didn't panic, but moved a tad more behind her cover.
She glanced back, and the man was heading towards her
"Dammit, I had to pick Mr. Tough Guy. Ah, he's probably all bark anyways." Just in case, she turned her back and tried her best to look thoroughly absorbed by the bug crawling by, and, figuring it couldn't hurt, extracted a twizzler from her pocket.
gabrielwhist 06-14-2008, 11:57 PM ((Seriously gabe, "glamored"? Let's just forget this and read "Tithe" for god's sakes. Be original! Anyways, I'm obviously very, very behind, but I think I'll see if this works.))
((Wow Metal. You obviously know absolutely nothing about the mythology of the fey. Glamour is one of the most common elements of fairy mythology in European lore. This is based on mythology and lore. Not books. Just because your only knowledge of a subject is a single book doesn't mean that that is where everything on the subject comes from. Gleen more than a cursory knowledge of a subject before you presume to flap your trap off about it.))
Dudeo 06-16-2008, 01:34 PM Kaede was rubbing at the back of his neck. There had been a commotion at a kappa merchant's table just a minute before, and he had craned his neck to see what was going on. 18 hours of sleep was no good for one's neck mobility, he quickly decided.
Well, at least he wasn't tired anymore.
Suddenly, his mind reeled. Did he recognize the hulking customer leaving the merchant's table? No, certainly not. Certainly, his mind was playing tricks on him, likely due to the oversleep. Or perhaps the hunger. Or the remnants of the transmission-induced headache. Quite possibly, it could be all three. It was a trick of the light.
But he was not entirely convinced. "Careful," he said to himself, "even dubious recognition is not to be lightly disregarded, especially in this place."
His stomach would wait. He decided to pursue.
Kaede noticed a girl ahead of him, who seemed to be following the same creature. She, he certainly did not know. She had stopped just feet from the shop the creature was currently in. Suddenly, the customer turned, and she ducked behind the cover she was using.
He didn't know her angle, but he definitely knew a confrontation would take place unless something happened quick. He was in no mood to witness a confrontation; he merely wanted to know if he recognized the customer.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-16-2008, 08:04 PM ((Wow Metal. You obviously know absolutely nothing about the mythology of the fey. Glamour is one of the most common elements of fairy mythology in European lore. Gleen more than a cursory knowledge of a subject before you presume to flap your trap off about it.))
((Really? Sorry, didn't know that. I've read bunches of that stuff, and I've only encountered it in the those books, and coupled with the court names, I figured you were just too lazy to think of your own. I wasn't trying to pick a fight.))
Ryu-Nacho 06-16-2008, 09:09 PM Varghan stepped into the open market yet again, but this time in search of a possible spy. There were several girls nearby, browsing other stalls and chatting. But one girl stood out in particular. She had squatted down, and seemed wholly absorbed watching a bug. A twizzler dangled from her mouth as she watched quietly. It had to be her. She was just too suspicious.
He decided to take another look around, not wanting to waste time with the wrong person. As he eyed over the crowd, his gaze crossed with another creature a short distance away. "Dammit," Varghan muttered to himself. "Is he watching me too?"
The girl twitched a little bit on hearing him speak. She definitely had to be the one who was following him. Are there others watching me? Are they working together? ... I must consider my options. A poor choice may lead to a war here. After staring at the other creature, he broke his stare, and said "If you know whats best, you'll stop following me." With that, Varghan turned around to head back in the shop.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-16-2008, 10:00 PM She stood and turned around.
"And if you don't want an enemy you'd better think twice before bothering Jeriah again."
She knew it was a mistake as soon as the words slipped from her mouth. Why did she always have to speak up?!

"yes"
"then your work is done. dont worry about the rest. it will be taken care of. for now your duty is finished. well get back to you when we need your help once more" the authority in the tone of the voice was almost patronizing
"so youre just gonna dump me in the middle of this frigging market?!. you cant do that i need a ride back!" rayne shouted. but the voice was already gone.
"fucking great! now what?" he decided he may as well look around this place for something usefull. he turned and started walking along the countless stalls browsing and hoping something would happen to brighten up his day.

gabrielwhist 06-17-2008, 01:56 AM The chopper took off, taking Drake and Arkus towards the Seelie Courts hidden entrance in the woods. Of course, nothing is ever easy in the world of magic, and as luck would have it, there was a Seelie escort just waiting to intercept them.
"Shit." Swore Arkus upon seeing the verifiable army of Seelie warriors. "Drake. I can't take the parcel. They'll follow me. That means you have to take it and run. Get the package to court at all costs. The Band of the Red Fang is yours now. Go."
"I can't just leave you to die Arkus!" Drake pleaded. "You've been like a father to me!"
"I'm already dead, if you stay, you are too. Now go!" Arkus yelled, pushing Drake out of the moving transport.
Ryu-Nacho 06-17-2008, 02:51 PM Varghan stopped in his tracks, and turned to face the girl. "An enemy? Tell me, girl. What threat do you pose to me? Or Jeriah for that matter?" He took a few steps towards the girl, who was either unflinchingly fearless, or paralyzed with fear. Varghan spoke quietly, so only she could hear, "I could kill you right now. It wouldn't take much."
"Adirae!"
An old, dry voice called out from close to where that other creature had been, though Varghan couldn't see him anymore.
"Adirae, there you are! I had this feeling you were up to no good, looks like I..."
Varghan interupted, "Merchant, you should make sure you keep your pets leashed, lest they be put to sleep."
Adirae turned to Jeriah, attempting to break into a brief run to the old kappa when an idea hit Varghan. It was a dirty idea, but it wasn't any worse than some of his previous dealings. He shot an arm out, and grabbed the girl by the shoulder. To ensure she knew the situation, he gave a good squeeze, hinting at crushing her delicate human body.
She cried out, both angry and scared at the sudden move, "Ah, let go! You oafish brute!"
"Jeriah," Varghan said calmly, "lets attempt another trade. I'll let the girl go for the weapons."
(OOC: Do whatever you want Becca. Break free, attract some help, agree to the trade, etc. Anythings fine.)
Dudeo 06-17-2008, 03:53 PM ((I'mafraid it's my turn now.))
Kaede grew tense as the scene played out in front of him. Damn that girl's mouth! He would have to play hero. He took a step forward as the creature he thought he recognized grabbed the girl, while talking to the merchant.
But his lethargy was beginning to return; whatever had kept Kaede awake for the past few minutes was moving away- fast. But the train wasn't moving... Then he saw it. A helicopter shrinking in the distance, and he knew he had to follow it. But that would have to wait.
As Kaede's mind returned to the task at hand, he found he was moving faster than he had anticipated. In fact, he was within two feet of the creature before he had the presence of mind to stop.
"Jeriah," the creature was saying, "lets attempt another trade. I'll let the girl go for the weapons." Kaede put the brakes on. And what a spectacular stop it was- He fell headfirst into the creature's back, bounced off, and crashed into a familiar row of gabage cans.
Ryu-Nacho 06-17-2008, 05:43 PM Lol, that works too.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-17-2008, 06:37 PM Taking advantage of the blunder made by someone who seemed too interested in the scene to be a passerby, Adirae slipped from this man's grip. It was awfully strong, but brute force wasn't enough to deter her.
"Why do you want these weapons so bad? Surely a big guy such as yourself could get on just fine without them. Or is that just an act, hm?" She knew she was pushing her boundaries, but she needed to know. Why she had this thirst still puzzled her, but he seemed...different.
as she was waiting for a reply she cast a sidelong glance at the man slumped against the garbage cans. He seemed only slightly dazed, almost as if he had expected this outcome, yet, he also looked mildly distracted, maybe even annoying. She tried mouthing to him "who are you?"
gabrielwhist 06-18-2008, 03:25 AM Drake fell through the air, it whistling around him as he plunged towards the forest canopy below like a bullet. Summoning wind around himself, he righted himself and spun like a top with his arms extended, creating a mini-tornado that acted as cushion, allowing him to land gracefully and unharmed on a tree branch. Tucking the package away in his side coat, Drake silently offered a prayer to whatever powers there be to help Arkus survive, and dropped to the forest floor. Unfortunately Drakes escape wasn't quite as uneventful as Arkus had hoped. Surrounding him, in a wide ring around the nearby area were small hovering pixie archers, three Kitsune swordsman, and five gryphon mounted elf knights. "Oh shit." Was all that Drake could say. He was a fine warrior himself, and could most likely take on any one of these people in single combat, or hell, even all the Kitsune or all the knights or all the pixies perhaps. But the three groups together? That feat might prove to much even for he. Drawing his sword, he prepared for death, to die valiantly, and unyieldingly. Fighting to the last stroke with the last breath in his body. He would complete this last mission Arkus had given him, or, more likely, die in the attempt.
Dudeo 06-18-2008, 11:41 AM ((Gabe's is moving away... Can't wait to see where it takes him ))
Kaede was looking up from the garbage. What a doozy- perhaps he had overplayed his role just a bit. But he had taken bigger drops. This way, he would look like a careless passerby, perhaps attract some attention, and the girl would (hopefully) slip out of the wolf creature's grip. Then he could perhaps get a closeup of the wolf creature, see if he recognized any features.
The girl- Adirae was her name?- was talking... Kaede listened. The wolf creature- Kaede hadn't heard his name spoken- had half turned to look at Kaede, but the girl's query seemed to have its full attention. The girl mouthed something at him. Couldn't quite make it out. He started to stand up... slowly. The wolf creature was going to say something.
Ryu-Nacho 06-18-2008, 03:48 PM "Why do you want these weapons so bad? Surely a big guy such as yourself could get on just fine without them. Or is that just an act, hm?"
Varghan hesitated on his reply; he first wanted to gather in his quickly changing surroundings. The creature he'd seen earlier now lay in a pile of garbage, more a clumsy hero than a spy. Jeriah stood by Adirae protectively as his men rushed to his side. Cassilda stepped out of her shop curious to see what was going on as well. As well as them, a crowd of random passerby also gathered, possibly out of concern, maybe to watch what they hoped was an oncoming fight.
For some reason, he felt more compelled than ever to reveal his intentions, to simply tell them that he wished to destroy humans, that the purpose of his clan was to eradicate their world.
"My Commander won't forgive me for this," Varghan said, smiling. "Adirae. Jeriah. You insist on know my intent, on knowing why I wish to purchase those weapons." His smile lingered as he casually reached for the handgun in his pocket. He pulled it out, making sure it was easily visible for everyone around, and held into the air before bringing the aim down on the girl in front of him. "Allow me to show you!"
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-18-2008, 06:30 PM ((I'm going to assume you immediately fired the gun ;]))
The man spoke.
"My Commander won't forgive me for this," he said.
"Adirae. Jeriah. You insist on know my intent, on knowing why I wish to purchase those weapons." An eerie smile was pasted to his jaw. he reached into his pocket and pulled out a gun, and he said "Allow me to show you!" as he pointed it square between her eyes.
"Oh, doesn't this look familiar" She said, eyes wide. One of her mothers various boyfriend's had put a gun to her temple once. Very luckily for her, and much to his dismay, it wasn't loaded. Something told her this madman's was, though.
She tried to dodge, but knew what was coming. Searing pain ripped at her left shoulder as the bullet entered, blood beginning to seep into her clothing. She stumbled and fell, blinded by pain. She felt a body next to her, it must have been the clumsy man...
She saw Jeriah rushing towards her through half lidded eyes. She felt so...tired...but she managed "That wasn't...*grunt* an answer." and then she felt everything around her slowly fading.

Rayne had witnessed the entire scene right up until the gunshot. after that he knew he could no longer just stand by. he constantly tried to hide but couldnt deny the fact that Rayne did have a scrap of a conciense inside him.
"VERY CORAGEOUS AND BRAVE OF YOU THERE VARGAN" he spoke. drawing the crowds attention s he stapped out.
"you had absolutely every right to shoot that poor girl in the shoulder. self defense right? she was obviously about to attack you. and a little woman like her against a huge feller like you, you didn't stand a chance. so good on you for resorting to a gun. courageous indeed" the sarchasm in his voice was just at a perfect level. not enough to be annoying but just enough to get the point across. he reached the point where the girl had stood before she fell. he looked at Varghan. both knew the script in this situation
"just know that i wont be taken down by a bullet". there was no sarcasm in his voice this time.
a wind picked up... this wasnt accidental either. Rayne was warming up. he knew what was coming next. or at least he had a pretty good idea that it involved violence. he needed to warm up and slowly the wind was getting faster and faster...
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-19-2008, 12:45 PM Adirae somehow managed to stay awake, but barely coherent. Through her fragmented conscience she grabbed a name. "Varghan...weird..." she also registered a new voice. "wonder who...that is..." She slowly thought to herself.
Dudeo 06-19-2008, 03:29 PM ((No time for plot reiteration... Assume I've been creeping up on Varghan. Sorry, been offline for a while. Else I would have caught the bullet.))
Kaede was inches from "Varghan". He took a peek at the girl, who was quickly losing consiousness. She was in good hands, though. The merchant would take care of her.
Kaede was intrigued by the situation unfolding before his eyes. A new character had arrived on the scene and was displaying some top-level power. There was no reason for Kaede to be involved in the situation now, but he was too close now to simply back down and watch. Varghan was his.
Kaede could feel the wind picking up. He suddenly was reminded of long ago.
He looked at the new guy again. Could it be..? Kaede would ask later.
With a sudden rushing force, Kaede activated his Reiki pores. A quarter of full power would do. He whipped around Varghan, standing side-to-side with the wind guy.
"Your power is too fierce," Kaede said to the wind guy. "It will damage quite a bit of this area, even if you win. Stand back."
Then addressing Varghan: "Hi. Want to dance?"
Ryu-Nacho 06-19-2008, 06:13 PM (OOC: I'd actually love to have some huge fight scene, but I have no idea how Reiki could be applied in combat, and you haven't mentioned any other powers. Besides that, Varghan is a smart enough guy to know his limits. The current numbers are five (merchant, his guards, Kaede, and Rayne) on one (Varghan). So, Varghan is gonna try and gtfo. Sorry to disappoint.)
The bullet easily ripped through her shoulder, and the crowd dispersed quickly, screaming, calling for help, all of them desperate to get away now that there was a threat. Adirae collapsed to the ground and Jeriah rushed to her side. Even in her pain and the likely oncoming shock, she managed to mouth off one more time. Stupid girl. He doubted her death, and considered shooting her again, but he really didn't have the time or ammo to waste.
Off to his side, a former bystander decided to take action. A boy whom he'd run into before named Rayne. His sarcasm was as prevalent as ever as he attempted to taunt Varghan.
"I don't have time for this," Varghan muttered to himself. "I was supposed to be headed back to the clan HQ..."
As the wind picked up, the klutz from before took to Rayne's side; Varghan hadn't noticed until now that the man was so very close to him. He could have thrown a sucker punch and really got things going, but Varghan supposed he was too smart for something like that after considering the difference in size.
To his front, Jeriah tended to the girl while his two guards stood in front of him, custom SMG's pointed in Varghan's direction. Things certainly weren't going in his favor.
"Hi. Want to dance?"
Varghan tilted his head to the side slightly, revealing his madman's grin to Rayne and his new found partner. "Certainly."
He sprinted away from the klutz and Rayne while firing on the two things he had hoped he could kill-the guards. Each took a shot to the face before they had time to react, but neither went down. They were unfamiliar creatures, so they may have had strong regenerative powers; at the least though, they seemed to be blinded by the sudden wave of blood washing over them, as well as the pain.
A good start. Varghan turned to the other two, gun in hand, just in time to see the klutz was already on top of him.
gabrielwhist 06-19-2008, 07:32 PM The pixies let their arrows fly, the small but deadly missiles swarming at Drake like bees. Spinning, Drake summoned as much magic as he could, pulling all the missiles into a wind tunnel, which he directed at the Kitsune swordsman, taking two down with the deadly barrage. The third was just out of reach, and upon seeing his comrades fall he swore and lunged at Drake snarling. Drake flipped over his head, blasting him with a concentrated sound wave. It wasn't lethal, but it would knock him down and keep him there until his eardrums adjusted and he could balance again. As Drake landed the elf knights charged him, from four sides. Pulling his sword out, Drake dropped and rolled towards the one on his right, widely slashing with his sword as he stood, cutting all four of the gryphons legs off. The beast hit the ground and skid, breaking its neck as its head caught on the earth, the rider was catapulted off the creature, and quite probably died himself. The gryphons sliding corpse wiped out the left elf knight and his gryphon as well, not killing them but slowing them down for a good while. As Drake completed his rotation and righted himself, he faced two elf knights who had changed direction and were charging at him, side by side, as well as a verifiable army of pixies. "Shit." Drake muttered. Stabbing his sword into the ground, he focused all of his energy on reaching the resonant frequency of the ground, reaching it he withdrew his sword, and with the aide of wind, flipped up unto a tree branch a ways away, just as the ground disintegrated into a sink pit of sand, pulling the remaining two knights in, and the resulting sand flying in the air momentarily blinding the pixies. Drake took off running through the trees, leaping from branch to branch, higher and higher. Drake had exhausted a large supply of energy, and didn't know how much longer he could keep going. Breaking through the forest canopy as he ran, a sword sliced across his back, and Drake cried out in pain, twisting as he fell through the air to see his attacker. A gryphon mounted elf knight. It appeared one of the three surviving ones had managed to get up and come after him. Unfortunate, Drake thought, as he crashed through tree branches to the forest floor. Staggering to his feet he took off running again, getting pelted by pixie arrows as he went. Breaking free of the forest Drake realized he had gotten turned around, and was heading back to the market. Oh well. Nothing he could do about it now. Sprinting for all he was worth, he weaved left and right, avoiding most of the arrows, but still looking like a pin cushion, Drake ran back onto paved ground; the highway running into the derelict magic district. As he came between buildings, raised above the ground on the higher up freeway path, he dove off the side, crashing through a window into an old building, and falling down the stairs to the floor level, he dashed out of the building and into a weapons shop across the street, through the back door, and into a large man, bouncing off onto the floor.
gussa 06-20-2008, 05:15 AM Rayne took Kaede's advice. he knew that if he went all out, he was likely to hurt more than just his target.
"looks like im gomma have to go old fashioned again" he remewrked reaching for the two short blades he kept on the back of his hip. he wasnt a baad swordsman. but he hated it because it made things so much harder.. he preffered fighting in wilderness whenre he could let go and let his power destroy anything without the worry of injuring innocent bystanders..
he drew his blades and started running. he jumped and created a wind blast to heave him up to the giants level. varghan was already taking blows from kaede without incident when he turned around and locked eyes with Rayne for a moment. then Rayne struck.
Dudeo 06-20-2008, 01:27 PM (OOC: I'd actually love to have some huge fight scene, but I have no idea how Reiki could be applied in combat, and you haven't mentioned any other powers. And gussa, how does Rayne know Kaede's name? Interesting.))
The disparity between Kaede's size and Varghan's size was huge. By all rights, though, 25% should have been enough to do some damage to Varghan. But the brute was shrugging off his punches like flies.
Kaede held off for a second. Varghan turned and the wind guy struck. Now, while he had a second's reprive, Kaede considered.
First, what was with his power level? It was too low. Kaede released 25 percent, but it only felt like ten.
Then he had it- He was too tired. Whatever was causing his lethargy was back, in spades. He'd have to find a cure. In the meantime, he'd have to release more Reiki.
Second, where did Kaede know Varghan from? Or, for that matter, the wind guy? Was the lethargy affecting his memory, as well as his body?
Kaede called to the wind guy. "Who are you? How do you know this guy?"
((I won't be on till Monday. Maybe later. Improvise.))
Ryu-Nacho 06-20-2008, 07:55 PM That klutz was fast, but his hits didn't mean much to Varghan. The style reminded him of someone he'd met before, but there wasn't anytime to really look at his face in between those hits. Suddenly, he stopped-probably realized his effort was being wasted. The clumsy man turned around to Rayne, asking "Who are you? How do you know this guy?"
Rayne couldn't answer though, he didn't have the time; he was launching his own assault on Varghan. The large man fired several rounds at the boy, but deflected them with a wind barrier and his blades. Varghan jumped back to avoid being a part of the crater Rayne left on his landing, and Rayne's relentless barrage commenced.
Varghan struggle to avoid each blow and attempt to pull out a short blade he hid in a specially designed pants pocket, blocking some attacks with his gun. Rayne stopped for a second and stepped away from the fight, no doubt readying some sort of concentrated blast to throw Varghan off balance. It gave him time to pull out his blade though, which would mean a lot in the long run of the fight. He held it in front of him, one had supporting the blades end defensively just as the blast came. A small bullet type wind shot forth from in front of Rayne and hit the sword. Varghan stumbled from the impact, and Rayne rushed forward to take advantage of the opening. But as Varghan attempted to regain his composure, another man crashed into him from behind. The newcomer fell back onto the ground while Varghan lurched forward, unexpectedly running into Rayne mid-rush, and stopping his attack. Rayne's speed rolled the two of them back into the newcomer, and all of them lay in a pile.
...They were making that other guy look not-so-klutzy.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-21-2008, 01:05 AM ((Ha, that last line got a laugh from me, Ryu ;D))
Adirae awoke with an immense throbbing in her shoulder, though somehow she knew it felt far better than it should. There was a large gauze type bandage protecting her wound, and an absolutely heinous smell was seeping from it. Now she understood. Someone had made her a poultice of sorts. She remembered Marcus babbling about those. Actually, he had taught her a considerable amount about using herbs. Once he had even told her she'd make a fantastic Kitchen Witch, if she were to want to do that sort of thing. The thought was laughable to her. Though she had healed various wear and tears with salves and whatnot he had shown her how to make.
Bringing herself back to the present, she realized she was certainly not in Jeriah's shop, nor her own home. So where was she? She peeked out from one of the various shawls that had been draped tent style from the ceiling so that Aridae had a place to recuperate, and saw much to her surprise she was in the store she had purchased her locket from. Jeriah was stubbornly leaning against the wall, even though there were several places to sit, as the shopkeeper spoke to him.
"Jeriah, you should know better than to let your pets go wandering the streets alone. Especially not after Varghan. He's a frequent customer of mine, and he's certainly not known for his kind spirit!" She said this with a wicked smile.
That beast of a man had a name! Varghan. Wait, she had used Jeriah's name too...they KNEW each other? Then again, Jeriah was acting far too...stand offish. Adirae wondered what had happened between them.
"Adirae is not a pet, she is a FRIEND. Surely you saw what was going on in front of your own shop, why didn't you stop that fiend?!" he was sure getting ruffled.
"When I was a girl, I loved to watch a snake toy with it's food before quickly stealing it's life from it."
"Cassilda, you always were cruel."
A devious chuckle escaped her lips. "Did I leave her in the streets bleeding to death?"
That reminded Jeriah he should check on Adirae. Besides, he'd had enough of this insufferable woman.
Adirae realized she was leaning much farther out of her hideaway than she had been. Jeriah was looking over, but instead of the frown her snooping often earned her, a smile broke out across his face.
"You're awake! But Cassilda only just brought us in...You are a strange one."
"Yes," she hissed "Healing far too quick for a hu...girl your age." Cassilda was actually rather surprised by this. To herself, she thought "But she couldn't be a...I felt nothing when I brought her in, almost completely flat energy. This is the work of a rather powerful mask..."
"Thanks for this. Smells horrid though." Adirae said, pointing at her bandage.
"Tañgan-tañgan often does. Did the trick, though, I'm sure. At any rate, don't go chasing monstrosities like the fool girl you are for a while."
With that, Adirae heard a loud, strange sound coming from outside. Reminded her of a tree being ripped from the ground by a nasty storm. Quickly, she got to one of the shops various windows, though she had to move yet another shawl so as to be able to see out. The scene that met her eyes confused her. She turned away. There was no way...there was a man in the...air. She was sure this was the work of something in the poultice. Or maybe she was still unconscious, and somewhere with Jeriah!
She took a deep breath, blinked thrice, and looked back. There was SO a guy in the air. He happened to be doing a decent job of taking down Varghan at least. But she couldn't wrap her mind around how he was staying well above Varghan's height. She glanced back at Jeriah and Cassilda, to see what they thought about all this. Jeriah didn't wuite knew what to do, but Cassilda seemed to be having ball, her eyes were glittering wickedly and she let out a feral laugh every few seconds.
She wished she could go outside to find out what this really was, but with the condition her arm was in, all she could do was sit back and watch.

im just writing in third person... sorry if it confused you... if you want ill just go back to assuming unknown identities...
First, what was with his power level? it was clearly >9000))
the Klutz had distracted Rayne a fraction when he yelled something out. Rayne didnt catch it due to the wind rushing around his ears as he created a concentrated shot of air.
as hard as he was fighting, Rayne didnt seem to be making a dent in Varghans fight. "i may have to step things up a bit" hew thought to himself.
while he and varghan traded blows and blocks, Rayne lowered the temperature of the air around the floor behind Varghan creating a thin layer of ice. after that his attack intensened. he had to push Varghan back onto the slick to subdue him.
a voice rang in the back of his counciousness. a distant memory
"You promised you would never kill" even remembering the incident made Rayne hurt inside. he quickly ignored it and went back to attacking Varghan. he prayed that this ice trap would work.. but there was only one way to find out...
gabrielwhist 06-21-2008, 05:34 PM Drake lay, dazed and wounded on the floor, taking in the scene above him. He wasn't sure who was the good guy and who was the bad guy, so he just tried to get the hell out of there, scrabbling backwards across the ground. He could feel the life energy draining out of him as he slowly bled to death. Blackness started to close in around him, slowly he was falling into unconciousness. "NO." He thought, "I have to... deliver... the package." Struggling to his feet, he fell backwards, slamming into the wall behind him, and pushing himself up, his blood leaving a trail along the wall. He stabbed his sword into the ground to right himself, and wearily staggered forward, the world coming in and out of focus, blackness swelling, then overly bright light clearing it away, then back to darkness. Barely able to move he tried to move onwards, unsure of where he was going, but possessed by an unshakable need, an undeniable urge, to continue moving.
Ryu-Nacho 06-21-2008, 07:20 PM (OOC: Since Dudeo isn't here, and his character seems good guy-ish, I'm gonna have Kaede use Reiki on Drake. Should keep his character busy without being awkwardly ignored. Hope you guys don't mind.)
Everyone recovered quickly...well, except that new guy. That pincushion stumbled over to the wall, looking like he'd die in just seconds. Varghan knew immediately that he was dragging trouble-why else would he be in such rotten condition? But that wasn't an immediate threat. Right now, he had to deal with Rayne.
Varghan turned to face his opponent when he noticed that klutzy (but not so much as everyone else) guy running over to the newcomer. He laid his hands on him, and some strange light came out. Probably a healing technique.
Rayne charged while Varghan was distracted, ramming a shoulder in his gut, and pushing him back. It was good hit, enough to hurt, but it didn't really do any damage besides that. Varghan attempted to regain his balance, but only found himself sliding on the surface beneath him. ...Ice. Sonuvabitch.
Varghan knew what was coming. Rayne was going to get him, and he couldn't compose himself enough to do anything about it. A sword found itself in the shoulder of his sword arm, and the two of them fell over from the force of the hit.
"How is it, Varghan!?"
The boy was yelling in Varghan's face, another meaningless taunt. Varghan knew what Rayne was going for, but he just didn't care. Rayne raised his other blade, ready to strike, when a loud screech sounded from behind. The two of them glanced in the direction of the noise, hoping to catch it's source.
A griffon rider, and a few fairies...they were probably after that other guy. Varghan took his turn to attack a distracted opponent, smashing his empty gun against Rayne's face, and pushing him off-Rayne managed to wiggle his sword out as he was thrown off. Varghan was just hoping now to get out of the path of the griffon rider's charge...
gabrielwhist 06-21-2008, 08:01 PM As he stumbled along, Drake was hit by a warm light, knitting his torn flesh back together. Gasping as life flooded back into his weary and torn body, his eyes snapped wide open, and the world came back into sharp focus. Unfortunately it held no sights Drake would wish to see. The gryphon riding elf knight and the pixie archers were still hot on his tail, there were two more potential enemies as well, both looking quite powerful. Muttering thanks to the stranger who had healed him, Drake lept at the elf knight, landing on the gryphons neck and swinging his blade at the knights head. The knight ducked, and thrust his own blade forward at Drake, who jumped, kicked the rider in the head, knocking him some thirty odd feet to the ground where he landed with a sickening thud, and did not move.
Taking the gryphons reigns, he swooped down to pick up any of the new warriors who might be allies, crying, "Friends of the Unseelie, to me! There will be great rewards for any who help me." And the help would be much needed, as more Seelie troops were on the horizon, in greater force and numbers now that the alarm had been raised, and Drake sighted as the target.
Dudeo 06-23-2008, 01:32 PM (OOC: Since Dudeo isn't here, and his character seems good guy-ish, I'm gonna have Kaede use Reiki on Drake. Should keep his character busy without being awkwardly ignored. Hope you guys don't mind.)
((Sorry for the awkwardness, I'm not online weekends.))
Kaede was distracted from the scene by the newcomer, who seemed to be terribly wounded. The girl's shoulder had been bad, but this guy was bleeding everywhere. Kaede ran over to him, feeling his power surge. His lethargy melted away. He was no longer tired.
As he touched the newcomer, Kaede's Reiki lept the gap. The other's wound's closed rapidly. Kaede wasn't aware that he was capable of healing, but he felt crazy powerful.
The man rose rapidly, muttering something at Kaede. The newcomer jumped onto something. A griffin?!? Where the hell had that come from?
Kaede turned around and balked. The fight between the other two seemed to have been called off. The newest guy had been followed... By an army!
The newcomer shouted. "Friends of the Unseelie, to me!" His presence was making Kaede's power level jump.
The wind guy flew up to the new guy, and he said something. It seemed that they knew each other.
So familiar... all these people...
Kaede's memories started to flow back to him. No time for that. But he knew of Drake, Rayne, and Varghan. Their reuinion was fortuitous. It meant his power could return.
With a yell, Kaede's Reiki exploded, and his power level jumped to 75 percent. He flew forward with incredible speed and promptly began to tear into the opposing army.
Dudeo 06-25-2008, 10:13 AM But as he ran forward, Kaede stumbled and caught his foot on a boulder. He promptly did a faceplant and fell unconscious.
gussa 06-25-2008, 10:30 AM "oh my god" rayne thought to himself
this klutz. while he has his skills he is still one of the most clumsy people ever.
"he could do with a bit of training"
but the thought was quickly disturbed as Raynes bubble was penetrated by a single arrow that scratched raynes face. he looked back at the army. it was really close now.
"Lets whip out the big guns!!!!" Rayne shouted as he summoned a force of wind into the face of the opposing mass.. but it suceeded in holding them at bay for a few moments... he would need some help to win this battle...
Dudeo 06-25-2008, 10:34 AM ((I'm going to let a few more people post before I wake up Kaede.))
Ryu-Nacho 06-25-2008, 09:40 PM Varghan facepalmed at the faceplant, letting the seriousness of the situation escape him for but a moment before returning to reality. Rayne switched targets, and the klutz was apparently after them before his mishap. But the newcomer really pissed Varghan off; he stole a griffon and, after dragging all this trouble, wants to escape!
Varghan only sneered in his general direction, not really having time for anything else. Oh well. Nothing like some exercise.
He dropped his weapons on the ground, and transformed. It's a fairly quick process, and a little painful, but Varghan kinda likes it better that way. Within seconds, Varghan released his true form, a wolf easily rivaling the size of the griffons he was to fight, and more powerful.
"Rayne! Use your wind to keep those arrows off me, and leave the fighting to someone who can!"
gussa 06-26-2008, 07:36 AM "IM JUST WARMING UP!!! GIVE ME SOME TIME JEEZ"
Rayne dropped back to the floor and obeyed Varghan.. as much as he would have loved to see him hit by a few arrows, he knew that Varghan Was a valuable ally at this point in time.
he also created hail. a flurry of golf ball sized ice blocks fell from the sky assaulting the enemy and takiung out the smaller enemies. suddenly a blade split the wind bubble.. while Varghan Distracted Rayne, a Kitsune Swordsman had managed to get the sneak behind him and had tried to silence Rayne quick and easy.
"sneaking up like that isnt exactly fair fighting you know" rayne said after recomposing himself.
"let me se what you got!" he said pulling his short swords back out!
and the battle raged all the while...
Dudeo 06-26-2008, 01:25 PM Kaede was still unconsious, but the army had moved so that he was in the midst of it. He was lucky to be hidden by the tall grass he had rolled into.
A goblin-esque creature stepped on Kaede's leg, and nearly lost its balance. "Graas Sqi Dugut!" it swore, in demonic tongue. Kaede stirred slightly. He muttered "Muffinsssszzz.." and fell back asleep.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-26-2008, 02:14 PM ((Shit, I left for a few days and forgot about this. Dedication at it finest, eh? Since mine didn't seem to be going anywhere (though it COULD have. i wanted to do the cliche 'girl stumbles upon powers' thing, but whatever) lets just say she went back home and wondered what happened. The end.))
Dudeo 06-26-2008, 02:26 PM ((I'm sure your character can get back into the swing of things quite easily. Don't sweat it, just come up with some mildly entertaining reason for why you've been out.))
Ryu-Nacho 06-26-2008, 10:13 PM ((Shit, I left for a few days and forgot about this. Dedication at it finest, eh? Storywise, your last post was just minutes ago. =P
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 06-28-2008, 12:57 AM ((Haha, okay. Yay for the amazingly slow world of RP, where every second is stretched to a millennium! What do you suggest I do to involve myself in the magical world?))
gussa 06-28-2008, 04:36 AM ((near death experiance gives you powers?? nah not gonna work.... umm. say that one of these enemies (be it pixies or whatever) is casting a spell the you smehow manage to accidentally disrupt by like running into it or something... then the side effect of stopping this spell is that you can now interact with the spirit world (and you have a power... idk).. because thus it would also mean you are helping the fight whilst developing your character))
gabrielwhist 06-29-2008, 08:53 AM ((*sigh* Don't you remember the whole spirit medium thing? You need a spirit medium to interract with the spirit world. The fact that you have been means that you have one, you just don't know it, and you still don't believe what you are seeing. All this would just lift the veil from your eyes, fully activating your spirit medium, resulting in the manifestation of spirit powers.))
Dudeo 07-01-2008, 01:31 PM ((Great, I think we broke the thread.))
Ryu-Nacho 07-01-2008, 07:51 PM I'm not sure this thread was actually going anywhere in the first place. Even gabe wasn't sure about this thread's start.
MeTal CaNdYcaNe 07-01-2008, 09:42 PM ((But Adirae DOES believe what she's seeing. Maybe it's due to her having been knocked out, but she's accepting it. So does that mean I can have powers now? Well, we'll see how this goes. Posting soon...))
happylittleClayFox 07-05-2008, 11:50 AM I hate to advertise here but I'm going to need new characters soon enough. So yea... Also, I would have joined in on this one but by the time I really looked I didn't know what the hell was going on.
Dudeo 07-05-2008, 03:57 PM Allright. Kaede's going to be out for a while.
happylittleClayFox 07-06-2008, 01:31 AM Power abuse? I say not! It's doing the right thing!
gabrielwhist 07-06-2008, 01:33 AM I've warned him multiple times to stop spamming the RP section, yet he continues. And thus, he is dealt with.
Ryu-Nacho 07-06-2008, 02:14 PM Editing his post in an offensive manner isn't how you moderate.
gabrielwhist 07-06-2008, 02:15 PM Even when he blatantly disregards your warnings on spam and continues to do so?
Ryu-Nacho 07-06-2008, 02:17 PM Yes.
gabrielwhist 07-06-2008, 02:23 PM Yes, then we do? Or yes, then we don't?
Ryu-Nacho 07-06-2008, 04:55 PM Don't. There is never a reason to edit someone's post in such a manner.
gabrielwhist 07-07-2008, 01:54 AM Awww man! Can at least edit spam posts to just say, -Idiocy-?
happylittleClayFox 07-07-2008, 07:04 AM Would it be safe to assume the answer is 'no'?
Ryu-Nacho 07-07-2008, 10:20 AM Just delete it, or edit it to put a warning in.
gabrielwhist 07-07-2008, 12:22 PM Grar. Fine.
Dudeo 07-22-2008, 01:47 PM Let's see if we can get back on track for the fifth page.
Or is this whole thing gonna die now?
Ryu-Nacho 07-22-2008, 04:32 PM I thought it already died.
Dudeo 07-23-2008, 10:30 AM Well the RP forum's been frozen for a bit now, so I didn't know whether it was the thread or the entire forum that was "dead."
