View Full Version : Cloverfiled Movie Moth 05-11-2008, 09:36 PM I. LOVE. THIS. MOVIE. Also: http://www.uberimage.org/1/cloverfield.png EDIT: Someone move this into TV/Movies. Supa Fool 05-11-2008, 09:37 PM Yes, I just wish I could've watched it on a bigger screen so I could understand some parts better. Like the last scene at the amusement park. gabrielwhist 05-11-2008, 10:25 PM Its either the monster falling into the ocean in the background, or a satellite falling into the ocean, which awakes the monster. At least those are the two prevalent theories. I saw it on the big screen. It was AWESOME. ninjashoes 05-12-2008, 12:36 PM I was dissapointed with it God 05-12-2008, 02:03 PM From the viral stuff they put out before the movie was released, it's determined that it's a satellite. I didn't find that out myself, someone told me. gabrielwhist 05-12-2008, 06:58 PM I was dissapointed with it Well thats because your a lame loser who utterly fails at life. Drunken_Shinobi 05-14-2008, 06:50 PM I haven't seen Cloverfield yet...but I'm hoping to see it because everybody keeps making a big deal about the way it was filmed. gabrielwhist 05-14-2008, 10:01 PM Its more than that. Its the most honest movie I've ever seen as far as human emotions go. insan3 05-17-2008, 01:59 PM I thought it was just average. I think its really original, the whole hand camera idea, but it was really short and not that great. I never even noticed that monster thing at the end. im actually gonna go put cloverfield in right now and see Supa Fool 05-17-2008, 02:46 PM Ya the ending was weak but the rest was very good. gabrielwhist 05-18-2008, 03:21 AM Ya the ending was weak but the rest was very good. Idiot. I thought it was just average. I think its really original, the whole hand camera idea, but it was really short and not that great. I never even noticed that monster thing at the end. im actually gonna go put cloverfield in right now and see Did you see it in the theatres or on a regular TV for one. For two, the acting was simply amazing, as was the writing. But I guess you just didn't pay any attention to that. Supa Fool 05-18-2008, 01:57 PM Idiot. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y275/robertnmike/Pure%20Pwnage/NO_U.jpg gabrielwhist 05-18-2008, 07:55 PM Keep telling yourself that. Don't realize the fact that the movie ended with the death of every character and the monster on the loose was far more realistic and original than most any other Hollywood movie. Completely ignore the fact that the characters, in the face of death, realized that the only important thing was to be honest about how they felt and be with the one they loved in their darkest of times. Absolutely disregard the amazing filmography and breath taking special effects. Don't even think for a moment how much more of a lasting impact the movie made with that ending than any other concievable ending could have. Yeah, you're right, the ending sucked and I'm an idiot. God I hate idiots. Heyyou27 05-19-2008, 11:15 AM The same people that loved this also thought Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and Spiderman 2 were the best movies of all time. To these fools, advertising budget = film quality. The ending wasn't the only part of this film that sucked, and I can't help but laugh at the moron calling Cloverfield realistic. gabrielwhist 05-19-2008, 02:16 PM Yeah, because you can't realistically display human emotion in an unrealistic movie. Totally. Jackass. Supa Fool 05-19-2008, 04:35 PM Keep telling yourself that. Heyyou27 05-19-2008, 09:05 PM Yeah, because you can't realistically display human emotion in an unrealistic movie. Totally. Jackass.http://magneticelectric.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/britney-spears-crying.jpg gabrielwhist 05-19-2008, 10:31 PM Yea, cause monsters intentionally go after a single helicopter when there is a large group of bombers he can go for instead. Yeah, cause he wasn't going after EVERY helicopter. http://magneticelectric.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/britney-spears-crying.jpg Great comeback man. gussa 05-20-2008, 07:28 AM http://magneticelectric.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/britney-spears-crying.jpg in garybells defense, science fiction is actually a really good genre to explore and use human emotion. Heyyou27 05-20-2008, 10:36 AM Great comeback man. http://www.aboriginalartstore.com.au/photos/malcolm_jagamarra_clifford_pos_photo.jpg Supa Fool 05-20-2008, 07:19 PM Yeah, cause he wasn't going after EVERY helicopter. Nope he wasn't, he was busy plowing through the city destroying buildings. Then he attacked the hellicopter randomly after being bombed by planes far away from them. Nitz 05-20-2008, 07:30 PM Yea, cause monsters intentionally go after a single helicopter when there is a large group of bombers he can go for instead. Yeah, cause monsters are real, and we know exactly how they all think. Oh and it was a documentary. Supa Fool 05-20-2008, 08:38 PM No, I mean wouldn't any creature, made-up or real, go after something that is attacking it rather than a little bug of a hellicopter? And what does a documentary have to do with the discussion? Erythro 05-20-2008, 11:09 PM I thought it was just average. I think its really original, the whole hand camera idea, but it was really short and not that great. I never even noticed that monster thing at the end. im actually gonna go put cloverfield in right now and see It wasn't original. They took the idea from the Blair Witch Project. gabrielwhist 05-20-2008, 11:20 PM http://www.aboriginalartstore.com.au/photos/malcolm_jagamarra_clifford_pos_photo.jpg Hey Q-tay. Nope he wasn't, he was busy plowing through the city destroying buildings. Then he attacked the hellicopter randomly after being bombed by planes far away from them. No, he was destroying everything he could get his hands on. That includes slow moving helicopters, and not super fast airplanes. It wasn't original. They took the idea from the Blair Witch Project. Yeah because using the same filmography style makes it a total rip off. Erythro 05-21-2008, 05:53 AM Yeah because using the same filmography style makes it a total rip off. I never said that - i'm just saying that the filming style isn't amazingly original. gabrielwhist 05-22-2008, 12:48 AM Still more original than most, and its more the way they use that style than that style itself that makes it original. Boong 05-26-2008, 07:56 PM just watched it and I have come to a conclusion. decent. |
