A great vid I found a couple months ago and finally decided to post it. Well, it beats the crap out of "Halo 2 whiteys" any day. :happy:

Basically what it is is a medley of sweet clips filmed very professionally in camera mode of Smash Bros. Melee, played to the tune of "Basketcase", by Green Day. Very cool. The video editing is great, as is the sychronization. The original sound fx is even layed over the music. Very professional indeed...

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this vid uses a DivX codec, so if you don't have DivX, you'll need to download it. (run a Google search to find it)

Just download DivX. It's fast, they don't require any personal info, and they don't bundle spyware with it.

In fact, you may already have it. Many hi-res videos on the internet require DivX to play.


If you definitely don't want to download it, I'm hoping you have a fileshack ID. If not, you'll need to get one.

DivX, or at least every version I have found, has come bundled with some type of adware. Winamp plays that video for me.

50+MB is nothing when you've got a sweet, low-traffic server that transfers at 589 kbps!!!

Most people I know, including myself, have finished downloading the entire file to their hard drive in a matter of no more than two minutes...

but if you need it...

There is a lower-resolution version that's 38.6MB. If you want it right now, it's aleady hosted at fileshack (here) (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=2929) and at fileplanet (here) (http://www.fileplanet.com/110689/110000/fileinfo/Smash-Bros-Music-Video-Got-Melee) , and you have to log in with a fileshack ID to download it.

I must mention, though, with the traffic those get, it will take A LOT longer to download those ones...


And I tried uploading the lo-res one, but it took eons to complete, so I canceled it. I might try it again...

P.S.
Do file uploads (say...38.6MB) generally take longer than a half hour? Because I've had to cancel multiple uploads to GPrime because it was taking longer than I thought was reasonable. I figured my computer was just not working with the upload system. Maybe it's just firefox...I'll try it with IE later.

Oh... I don't think that 50 mb is that much! But anyhow, it is worth it.

I use firefox, and i downloaded the highest resolution one at the top of the page, and it was done in under 2 minutes.

What a great clip! That must have taken a good bit of planning. Also, knowing how each character reacts in a given situation... Wow. And using the camera like that, very impressive.
