Could we please do something about this? It sort of ruins the fun of having it.

i dont think the target one was cheating, probably a bonus from getting a certain amount of points. the path one should have something done about it though :Confuzzle

How do you know there cheating apart from the time length do you have proof.

I was thinking since high scores are practically unbeatable after a while, and because there is so much cheating, that clearing the scores everyday might things a bit more fun.

they havnt cheated, compaire the scores to the time - it all seams right. Some people are just better than you. live with it.

Trust me I've deleted a lot of fake scores. There have been probably 5 or 6 people who sign up and have all of the top scores in 10 minutes, on every game! It just doesn't seem like a lot of people are cheated because we're constantly deleting all the scores that we know are 100% fake.

If someone fakes a time that looks within the right limit, and a score thats not too over-the-top, then there's no way we can tell if it's really fake or not. It's really hard to deal with.

The problem is that .swf files are easily decoded back into a workable .fla format, so cheaters can simply code a game however they like (make it easier, make it harder, or just hard code in a winning score). There's pretty much no way you can prevent cheating; we've just got to deal with it.

we had this conversation on irc and came up with a couple of different ideas that would help. They just need to be implemented.

Yeah blackice has been working on something that should help filter out a lot of the cheaters. I just need to get motivated and add it.

what about the Penguin Bashing the highest possible score to get is
3235

I can tell you this: 3235 is not the highest possible score. also, you need to get rid of joust. it's a poorly executed flash game that ruins the great arcade game.

dude, just cuz u suck at joust doesn't mean u have ot delate the whole thing. Find a game ur good at and stick wit it.
