I woke up this morning, got dressed, hopped in my car and headed off to school. Now Gr.12 is no picknick, and I woill be the first to tell you. Its coming up to exam time(I have 6) and Its irritating to say the least that all of the teachers are flattening us with home work before we have to study for out exams.

I found myself in the office after telling my clueless math teacher to pull he lower lip over her head and swallow, when she forgot who I was. I have been in her class for over 7 months, and she forgot my name. Minutes later I was discharged from the office, and witnessed a nerd fight, which did brighten my day. The two nerds went at it, pocket protectors, calculators, and broken glasses were flying every. Fourth came, and thank god it was english, I could slack off and get away with it... Once I got home that night I learned that I had to do home work for about 3 hours, but the problem was that I had to work. So I am now suspended from working for 2 weeks, because I missed my shift...

I really think that the schools should at least start at eleven so we can sleep in alittle before we actualy have to work, because no one is awake in first period....

Well first off I dont mind schoo very much ( I mean there are those gay classes) and secondly My brother has a Job as a waiter/cook where he gos into work at 3 - 10 pm .............. Ever heard of The hoot owl shift in the mines or Midnight shift at a hospital there are lots of jobs for night people.

I agree ! In Finland you really can't have a job if you don't have any education. IMHO, I really like and almost LOVE school cos @ home.. It really sucks. My folks don't really understand whats it like to study, cos they've just got a job whitout education. (I live whit my sister and her husband and hes from England. You don't really need to go to school and study, right? You can just go to work and be ****in happy.)

I think that you should be HAPPY. There's lots and lots of kids who would love to go to school but they don't have money to go. So STFU. :<

Oh the memories...

At school it's easy to steal things and get away with things. At school there's only about 300 people as opposed to prison with lots. At school you get to go home at the end of the day. There's the difference :)

School sucks if you're not sucsessful at it.

I don't mind school.

School is at least tolerable if you learn that it's good for you. If you go to school every day with the attitude that you're only there to be torutred, then yeah. It's gonna suck. But you're learning, and you're building a future for yourself. Some of the stuff you learn may feel useless, like Shakespeare, or ancient Portugese cultures. But if you make the best of it then you'll learn that it isn't as bad as our culture makes it out to be.

Another way to look at it is this: you're going somewhere. You don't live in the poor slums and streets of Brazil or Mexico or something, where your only way up out of the cycle is soccer, or drug dealing. You're not facing a life full of dissatisfaction, of a huge risk. By attending school, you face a future of at least reasonable income, but certainly not poverty. Would you rather attend school, sieze the treasure placed in front of you, and spend an early fifteen to twenty years in school, or live an unfulfilling, undisciplined early life doomed to turn into nothing.

And that's why you should like school.

I actually like Biology, Studio Art, Small Gas Engines, Photography, and the fact that I get to see my girlfriend in between classes. :)

Those get me through he day.

Having a girlfriend really does make school a lot more worthwile. Of course, the couples that love each other a little too much between classes sort of bug me, but hey, what can you do?

My school was cancelled today because of ice (I live in Texas, so this is kind of big) and I just found out that it was cancelled tomorrow, too. This is soooo awesome.

I think people should care to school, here, lot of parents don't care it, they prefer to have a car instead to paying a good school. Others students have a good school, which it's a expensive thing, but don't make good use of it. Public schools aren't so good, especially the secundary school. After all, it's a unequal nation.

Think of the alternatives of school. Sit around on your ass all day? Get fat? I guess if you live in the city then you could go find a job, but if you're like me, it's school or nothing. There's basically nothing near where I live but a gas station 5 miles up the road.
