I had it once. It hurt for like 2 hours, then I got out of school for 2 days. It was a sweet deal. I'm sorry that it actually sucks for you.

God: That is pretty nice. I can't do that anymore though, since I'm in all advanced classes, missing two days would be completely screwing myself over. I've found something to help it though: Gargling water and cayenne pepper 3-4 times and hour. Sounds crazy, feels great.

You definitely have the best days to get sick. About a month or two ago, I got sick with a fever and this weird stomach virus that made me feel like crap all day and was missing school on and off for two weeks. Right when we had 2 math tests and a (bombed) science test that I couldn't really study for. I ended up getting a very close 90% on my final science grade so I got highest honor roll. Phew.

I'm faking it today. I have make up work to do from when I was really sick, and I need to turn it in tomorrow before we go on Thanksgiving break.

Rofl. I know a friend who misses pretty much every Monday and random days during the week (Sometimes the whole week) But shows up on Friday to get his work and repeats the cycle over and over again so he gets 1-4 extra days to complete schoolwork.

At every school I know of. After 15 days of unexcused absences here, you get an attendance referral.

Yeah, but if I was ditching a bunch I would get it called in. Thats what I meant, I didn't realize there was a limit to excused absences.

Well I wasn't in much pain before, so probably no. But it really depends on what is wrong with you, tonsillitis sounds pretty bad..

Keep in mind I was really young too, so it SEEMED worse.
