Any got any good anime recomendations?
I watch Bleach, sometimes Naruto, Avatar, watched GTO and Fate Stay Night. Anybody know something good, kinda in that vein?

There are two that come on Fuse network called Tenjo Tenge and Ergo Proxy...

I liked Ergo, ending sucked though.
I really suggest Claymore if you're into medieval folklore and stuff. Hellsing is still my favourite piece of Japanimation. Wolf's Rain is still a classic.
If anyone can suggest some good anime movies I'd be happy. As humble as Spirited Away or as bad ass as Karas, I don't care.

Ergo is if you're in the mood for one of those depressing futuristic sagas... and Tenjo is pretty much just another cliche "formula anime" that has okay art and a mediocre storyline.

I've watched a bit of Tenjo, its fairly amusing. I watched Wolf's Rain for a while, and it is really good, but its to slow and kinda boring a lot of the time. I loved Spirited Away and Karas. Favorite movies are probably Princess Mononoke, Millenium Actress, and Howls Moving Castle.

I can't think straight for some reason...but for now, I'd say Slayers (all seasons and OVA's), Urusei Yatsura (more the OVA's than the series), and Excel Saga (assuming you're into parodies).

Death Note is pretty good I guess, but I prefer the manga over the anime.

Trigun and Cowboy Bebop
I really dislike anime after Dragonball Z but if these shows are on, i'll actually stare at the title for a second and then flick to another channel

Watched the first 17 episodes of Death Note, totally loving it. Then get bored of it. I have short attention span, need explodies to keep me focused.

If you want a long series, if I can suggest Full Metal Alchemist; it's a really good series. Also something that I started to watch is D.Gray Man, which reminds me of FMA somewhat. Maybe that's why I like it....

also, a classic mecha series that I highly recommend is GaoGaiGar.. Original episodes are a bit childish, but the OVA series, GaoGaiGar Final is.. not really for children

and lastly, another one of my favorites, although hella freaking long... is Hunter x Hunter including all 3 OVAs.

And sticking to the studio ghibli movies, if you haven't seen Princess Mononoke or My Neighbor Totoro, both are worth checking out

Also, not a studio ghibli movie, but Steamboy is also really good..

For a gruesome anime movie, Akira is just that. I need to watch that again.. Last time I saw it, I was totally wtf'd

I've been watching Bleach and Naruto as well... but man, I can't take Naruto. Took like what... 5... 6 episodes just to fucking kill Sasori. I read that part in the manga in like 10 minutes or something. I stick to waiting for the manga..

Azumanga Daioh is one of my favorites. I don't know why it didn't come to mind last night. Some other titles mentioned in this tread that I'd co-recommend would be Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, FMA, Hellsing, and Death Note. Probably all the Ghibli movies, to some extent.
About rahx's mention of Akira though...I can see why some people like it, but I thought that just wasn't a very good movie personally. And for Willy's Bobobo...good show, but it really requires a lot of looking into to get some of the humor.
The others I haven't seen, and will probably look into ASAP.

The Get Backers
Jing King of the Bandits
Full Metal Panic(not to be confused with FMA)
The stuff on Sci-Fi Mondays is really good
and Death Note in America just came out and its really good highly recommend it...thats on Adult swim btw

I like FMA, its pretty cool, but I just can't ever seem to get into it. I hate D.Gray Man. I might check out Hunter X Hunter again (I've seen the first couple of episdodes).

I LOVE Mononoke, Totoro, Steamboy and Akira.

I get why people like manga, but it just isn't as entertaining as anime to me. I'd rather see it in motion and in color.

Hunter x Hunter IS interesting in the original TV series, but what I really liked were the OVAs

i haven't been watching anime much, i've been watching... >.> <.<. korean dramas. i dunno why but they're addicting. so much better than american dramas.

Top notch animation, acting, and comedy. But even after having seen it hundreds of times, I'm still trying to figure out the story.

Yeah Cowboy Bebop is very good, and it's one of those animes I'll remember very well even though it's short compared to many other animes. I find the length perfect enough to keep someone with a short attention span focused enough to get the whole story until the story ends. Other than that...it's just a great anime and I re-watch it sometimes because my parents got the DVD for cheap from China.

What exactly is an OVA?

An OVA is an Original Video Animation. Their purpose is to be released on videos for home without being shown on TV to milk out as much money as they possibly could from the original anime. Usually it's an extended story to what happened in the TV anime series, or it's just extra tidbits so you can enjoy more.

In Hunter x Hunter's case, the OVA goes on with the story where it left off in the anime.

Akira for a good anime movie.

I used to watch anime, the best ones around. Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z.

Hmm...those are pretty classic animes. However they did get over-rated, especially Pokemon....there's just too many of them. I mean there's more anime than just Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z and some of the new anime that's coming out isn't so bad.

I worship Cowboy Bebop as one of the best pieces of media ever, imo at least. Golden Boy is awesome, too bad it was so short. Akira is probably the best anime movie i've ever seen.

Bleach has held my attention longer than any other anime.
