The series that spawned the SRPG genre and has been around for 10 games now! Here is a brief overview
The first six games were not released outside of Japan, this is a list of all the games in the series and their lords.

Fire Emblem: Dark Dragon and Sword of Light
Marth's game.

Fire Emblem: Gaiden
Alm (Swords and Bow) and Celica (Swords and Magic)

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem
Marth again, this was a port of FE1 with a bonus sequal.

Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War
Sigurd (Swords and Lance) and Celice (Swords)

Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Leaf (Sword)

Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals
Roy

Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword - released worldwide
Lyn, Hector and Eliwood

Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones - Sucks really bad
Eirika and Ephraim

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Ike

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Micaiah and Ike

Fire Emblem: DS
This is either a port of FE1 or FE3, it's not known yet. However they do introduce at least one new character.
Also Marth is the lord.

While I have to give credit to them for creating the genre, I don't much like their games. They're too slow.

FE7 is pretty slow but the older ones like FE4 and FE5 are straight into it.

Oh man! Too slow? Go play "Paladin's Quest" on the SNES, then talk to me about slow. That game... so slow... so paaaaainfulllly slow.

My favorite SRPG's are made by Nippon Ichi...all other SRPG's are incredibly slow in comparison to their games. They aren't usually quite as deep though.
