View Full Version : Why even have a Sports section?
You guy don't use it. The last post before this one was back in the middle of September. And most of you are just pasty, acne-riddled sub-urban teens who suffer from severe underexposure from the sun, and who've never held a ball bigger than a marble. And those that aren't still don't value sports enough to even comment on them. The threads here are the most generic, repetitive, monotonous on the entire site. If you're not gonna use this section, and use it properly, why not close it down?
Supa Fool 10-10-2007, 09:41 PM Because when the Packers make it to the Super Bowl, I can trashtalk.

If more people were in love with sports like me here, this would be where the majority of my posts would be.
gabrielwhist 10-11-2007, 12:49 AM I enjoy playing sports sometimes, but I hate watching them. Most boring thing ever. I think professional sports need to be abolished. They ruin perfectly good normal programming by taking up time slots they dont deserve, and then running over time.
Supa Fool 10-11-2007, 04:20 PM Just make an ESPN 3 and 4, and we're all good...
Then again, that would create a monopoly on sports networks.
Ryu-Nacho 10-11-2007, 05:10 PM I'm like gabe. I like playing sports, but I hate watching them. I especially enjoy rough, physical games like (American) Football.
Supa Fool 10-11-2007, 07:49 PM The only sport I can watch for the whole game is college basketball.
guess_who_i_am 10-12-2007, 07:41 AM I like sports... I like American Football... I like the New England Patriots... I like Tom Brady...
American Football is for sissies. Rugby is a real man's sport. Hwaaa!!
Na, on a real note, anyone who plays rugby: Choose a safer sport, like skydiving, or gator wrestling.
Supa Fool 10-12-2007, 11:16 PM I like sports... I like American Football... I like the New England Patriots... I like Tom Brady...
You do know they were caught spying on other teams during games, right?

ehh... they're different sports.
they are similar, but you can't compare them like that.
Football is like going from 0-90 in like four seconds and then back again, which is why you need pads.
Rugby is like going from 0-60 and just continuing, which seems more stamina-oriented, but there is still the occasional broken nose/missing tooth.
I'm not saying either sport is sissier or manlier than the other, they're different.
now Celtic Football....
guess_who_i_am 10-13-2007, 01:58 AM You do know they were caught spying on other teams during games, right?
I just think that Tom Brady is hot is all.
Samiam22 10-13-2007, 04:50 AM I like to play beat-the-hell-out-of-anyone-you-see with my sister and grandmother

umm...
what the fuck are you talking about?
as far as i can tell, the sprots are exactly the same concept... the only differences are minor play rules that change every year...
Willy_Wonka 10-13-2007, 11:50 AM football isnt constantly playing. its start and stop...
and they're running full force into each other on every play.
I was just answering the typical brit saying of...
"American Football is for poufs. They need to wear a tonne of armour. Rugby is a real man's sport. Chips! Tea Time!"
joshisposer 10-14-2007, 12:15 AM The Patriots may have cheated but its very worthless. I mean, once they get all the hand signals down, most good coaches change them. Plus, lots of teams just have captains and shit call plays
Supa Fool 10-14-2007, 12:19 AM I avoid that controversy, because the Packers could beat them if they cheated or not XD

i think you're getting rugby confused with AFL (australian football)
rugby is start and stop also...
Supa Fool 10-14-2007, 02:28 AM Wow, australian football doesn't stop? That's gotta be hard..
guess_who_i_am 10-14-2007, 07:28 AM No the players are just skilled.

NickyChris 10-14-2007, 03:01 PM My mom wants me to join the track team.
Supa Fool 10-15-2007, 07:25 PM I am very good at soccer, could have made school team easily, but my mom is too lazy to pick me up after games/practices. So I'm not allowed to play.
The people here don't appreciate it very much when you call it soccer. I guess, being a former English colony, they carry a lot of their traditions and mannerisms
Supa Fool 10-15-2007, 08:26 PM My bad, futbol..
guess_who_i_am 10-17-2007, 09:06 AM It's spelt football not futbol.
Supa Fool 10-17-2007, 06:05 PM guess you don't take spanish class...
gabrielwhist 10-17-2007, 08:52 PM I HATE Spanish!!! I HATE it. It stinks and I HATE it!!!!!
But serially, why do they call it soccer? And why do they call Football (American style) Football? In soccer you play with your feet, look ma! No hands! So doesn't it make more sense to be called football?
because some of us don't value sitting around on our asses all day posting here.
Of course. You'd rather sit around on your ass all day deleting posts.
gussa 10-18-2007, 07:52 AM pwnt...

It's not offered at my school, the only language they have at my school is Japanese and we don't need to do a language.
gabrielwhist 10-20-2007, 10:53 PM I wish they taught Japanese at my school.
guess_who_i_am 10-20-2007, 11:10 PM It's shit and it's easy.
gabrielwhist 10-20-2007, 11:43 PM I love Japanese. I'm probably taking it this summer at City College.
Supa Fool 10-20-2007, 11:57 PM Virginia extends its winning streak to 7 games, woo!
gabrielwhist 10-21-2007, 12:05 AM *Yawn*
Supa Fool 10-21-2007, 12:14 AM *ignores*
gabrielwhist 10-21-2007, 12:17 AM LOL. Contradicting yourself so obviously just makes me giggle.
Supa Fool 10-21-2007, 12:25 AM Glad you liked my joke..?
gabrielwhist 10-21-2007, 12:28 AM No, see, I wasn't laughing with you, I was laughing at you.
Supa Fool 10-21-2007, 01:37 AM But yet I laughed anyway; you lose. :P
gabrielwhist 10-21-2007, 02:33 AM But we were laughing seperately, so you lose.
Supa Fool 10-21-2007, 11:16 AM :[

NickyChris 10-24-2007, 07:26 PM I want to learn German for some reason... it's been sort of a subconscious obsession of mince since I was twlve.
I can actually speak it a little... though I lost the book, so I forgot a lot of things.
