(only with a few choice words in there) or summin like that... this just angers me so much and its stupid.. everyone has their own opinions and just because you dont agree doesnt make it right for you to make them feel like the sh!t that comes outta a dogs @$$... just thought id vent.. and i know im not the only one who feels that way..cant we all just accept that its really OK for people to believe different ideas...

It happens way too much around here, but that's what happens when you put a bunch of young kids in the same place. I try to keep track and remove anything too harsh but it's hard to keep an eye on everything all the time.

If people just agreed with everyone else all the time, we'd have no reason for a forum. What would it look like if we did? "I like cheetos." and then the next post "I like cheetos." The next guy might spruce it up a bit by saying "I also like cheetos." Without arguement (IE: "I don't like cheetos") and opinions that don't match, there is no conversation of interest. Regardless, people should treat each other with more respect, but to me, I laugh and enjoy myself a lot more on a good arguement.

And another note, not everyone on here is a kid. I am a grown adult, with a decent career. I just have a great sense of humor and don't let what people say on the internet effect me at all. You will never meet the person that is calling you "Gay" or "Stupid" or whatever idiotic comment protrudes from their keyboard, so I say, just let it slide and get a good laugh. Its all in good fun.

Blue eyes, thanx 4 bringing this up, and of course ur right, but when you want ppl to stop calling other ppl stupid, maybe calling them stupid is not the best tactics :mf_hassid

Arguing is another way of communicating, just negatively. However, we are influenced by our parents (if they're demons) and the government (since those heartless idiots started the entire basis of criticizing each of their opponents to exploit their weaknesses and use them for beneficial purposes)as to how to argue, but we changed it a lot with the internet. We don't just sit on our gluteus maximuses and bicker over who is better than who, now do we? No, we actually just moronically slander each other until we have defiled not only the person/people we're arguing with, but ourselves since they have the opportunity to backlash against us.

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 06:43 PM
That's nice.

Frookie

back to the question

we can accept other people's beliefs, it's just wrong to force someone to think something should be different, unless it's factually wrong, that's the only situation, opinions are not to be tampered with, that's what makes us different, we have different understandings, we throw in our two cents, and then we wait to see what happens with our thoughts, whether they're expanded upon, commented at, criticized, just don't take away our freedom of individuality and freedom of speech, is allowed here, but don't be negative towards opinions, you have them too, or so I'm lead to believe...

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 06:51 PM
Yet there are a ton of people who think exactly like you. Does that mean they aren't defferent? I mean, for one, you're forcing your opinions onto someone by telling them not to force them onto people anyway, so what's the big deal?

EDIT: I've just noticed, that the people who started this thread like... a million years ago never even come here anymore.

Frookie
10-23-2005, 06:58 PM
it's basically making people think that they can't think, weird isn't it, and yes it is basically myself forcing my opinion onto them, the reason for that is because they can't seem to figure out that tampering w/ someone's opinions isn't the smart thing to do, I know this from experience, you do not want to say that someone's opinon doesn't matter, everyone's does, that's why the U.S. is a democracy, the citizens elect our leaders, oh, you might say that it doesn't matter what we say when it's a blowout of who wins and loses, but it is, they want to do what's best for them, but is it what's best for you when you don't take into consideration what's best for someone else?

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:00 PM
So you're saying that if someone believes that Satin is God their opinion matters?

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:03 PM
yes, if they feel strongly enough to say that, yes, though you're going against the common belief in that, which is actually something that needs to be done on forums more often, if it's just the common "I agree", then it's boring, people need to learn to speak for themselves rather than be part of a group of common people, who quite frankly, ought to be more outgoing with their opinions

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:07 PM
So simply because they say that they believe for it to be true you support DEVIL WORSHIPERS?!?!? Are you nuts??? They do CRAZY things like kill their own BABIES!!!!

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:09 PM
that doesn't say I believe it, that says I believe they're entitled to their own opinion, not to just be another piece of hay in the boring haystack, with few needles to look for at all, without putting your opinons into the conversation, you're restraining yourself to what people know about you

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:10 PM
People like that don't deserve that kind of respect, Frookie.

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:16 PM
they do because at least they're not shy, the idea of at least putting an opinon out there is bold enough for someone to do

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:18 PM
So if a 45-year-old man breaks into your house, rapes you, and murders your first born in his sleep, you'd show him respect for his actions because he wasn't "shy" and also claimed God told him to do it, and believes that what he was doing was just???

You're the insane one. Freedom of speech and expression, and religion. The same reason you're allowed to worship as you choose. Although the killing part is still not allowed.

Agh you changed your post

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:22 PM
there are limits:

no offending or harming others, you can't do that though, since that's basically what I've been saying the entire time, no angry attacking of each other over opinions

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:22 PM
I'm not goint to get anymore into this.

EDIT:

You know what? I've changed my mind.

Rape and murder violate other laws in the United States. You are allowed to believe what you want, worship you want, and pretty much do what you want as long as it does not violate any state or federal laws.

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:27 PM
So? That doesn't change those people's "opinions".

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:29 PM
did you not read what I said, they have limits, when they offend others or harm others, that's when it's too far, because you're basically going to change them for the worse

Heyyou27

I'm going to go worship Satan and cover myself in virgin blood as I attempt to open a portal to the underworld so I can release the anti-Christ.

so long as the virgin blood isn't the cause of harm or death, than do what you want

It isn't okay for someone to die because they're sick either.

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:55 PM
oh, now this is going into a new topic altogether

sick peole die, old people die, you can't stop all deaths

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:56 PM
I don't believe I said that I could.

Frookie
10-23-2005, 07:57 PM
that was a generalization

everyone that can't be saved dies unless they can save themself, of course, no miracles *my opinion*, so, the elderly who die from natural causes, the sick who can't be treated or don't want to and die from either their illness(es) or some other reason(s), etc...

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 07:59 PM
everyone that can't be saved dies

That's not true.

Ok...here is to sum it up: respect others opinions as long as they stay under the guide lines of law.....if they dont they deserve little to no respect what so every and might earn the right to die...( i might have missed a few things but o'well)

Frookie
10-23-2005, 08:06 PM

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 08:07 PM
What??? If it were always like that then we'd still have slavery.

Charles rules you all!
10-23-2005, 08:08 PM
we believed that to be unconstitutional and fought a war over that...learn your history.

Frookie
10-23-2005, 08:09 PM
you can say that, but the past is done, you can't tamper with it, plus, the law states that people are to be free of slavery, lol

nickychris3
10-23-2005, 08:10 PM
It wasn't always like that, Frookie.
