1) Yes, the board got hacked
2) No, we will not tell you how it happened
3) Yes, we have taken steps to try to prevent a repeat
4) No, we will not tell you what we changed

For security reasons, ALL moderators should change their passwords immediately.

According to the "who's online" thing, you guys are "VIP" members.

It wasn't any existing member that I'm aware of.

and I guess while technically you don't count as a mod, you do have access to the front page updates and it would probably be a good idea to change your password.

Actually, it would be a good idea for all members to change their passwords just to be safe. It looks like they downloaded a copy of the database, and while it would be extremely difficult to recover passwords from it, it is possible.

Well, looks like I'll be changing a lot of passwords.

And as far as I'm concerned. It was no existing or ex-gprime member. since nobody on this board would be capable of doing so.

And I actually doubt the board itself was hacked.

i found 2 things that are changed so far..

there's no background color change thing in the bottom leftcorner of the forums anymore

if you do "insert link" or others like that they are now considered pop-ups
