I never thought I'd be saying this, but I like Hilary better than OBama. Have you seen him in debates? Whenever he's asked a relevant question instead of actually answering it, he just goes completely off topic and talks about something politically correct or heart-warming... to fill up his 60 seconds of answering time. Though Hilary is also noticeably P.C... it's not to his extent. Generally, she will express her whole (sugar-coated but still clear) opinion without care as to what people think.... during debates anyway.

Natus Lumen
07-30-2007, 12:46 PM
That's because she knows people are going to vote for her.

I'm for the Centrist party, whoever their candidate is going to be, but we might just have to wait and see.

Dudeo

I don't know about you, but having Hilary be our first female president, and all the surrounding ramifications, has kind of made me shrink away from her campaign. It wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't Hilary Clinton...

Natus Lumen
07-30-2007, 01:48 PM
I don't really understand why everyone's so stoked about the next president being either black or female. It will happen when it happens. People shouldn't vote for Hilary just because she's going to be a woman president and people shouldn't vote for Obama just because he's a black dude, although the latter seems a lot more reasonable, because it would be a milestone in African-American history, and all that. People should vote for a president they think is best fit to lead this country, but presidential candidates rely on who they are in relation to appealing to demographics to win a campaign.

NickyChris

I wouldn't advise that. Not voting automatically makes any further input of yours irrelevant. Unless you're too young to vote (you are aren't you...? you're seventeen... or did they change the law or something).

Something that my brother brought up a few days ago is how irritated he is that the only people anyone's focusing on are Obama and Hilary. They're both Democrats... so it's not like they would be able to run against each other in the end. And why aren;t we focusing on the other candidates in other parties?

Natus Lumen
07-30-2007, 05:47 PM
Haha. Because other candidates aren't infusing us with their propagandaImean advertising yet. I figure I might as well go vote when I'm of age. I'm going to have to go register anyway unless I want to go to a federal prison. It's a good thing a Democrat's going to win office. That way I won't have to hear all this crap from my mom about not registering because there might be a draft. Democrats don't do war.

I'm not sure what part I would belong to... though in spite of me I think it's Republican (not that I like Democrats all that much either). Whenever this person I know says ignorant stupid crap about Republican politicians I get all defensive and tense. Yet it's not as apparent when he does so to Democrats... partially because he never talks about them. He's become one of those "Regan = Teh Devil" "Bush iz worst Prezidint evrr" types of people. It really pisses me off too, because he doesn't even know why he hates the people he hates. He only hates them cause he spends all his time going to stupid internet forums filled with idiots who hate any and all people in office... for absolutely no reason.

The only thing that I hate is a lack of productivity. If someone gets into offices and doesn't do shit about anything except a particularly large glob of snot in his nose, that bothers me. But if someone, like Roosevelt, Clinton, or Regan, gets into office and starts making overall improvements and their 'sacrifices' are understandable and low in relation to their accomplishments, then I can find it in me to not call them an incompetent idiot. The only difference between democrats and republicans is that certain priorities of democrats are higher on the list and some of those of republicans, and vice-versa.

I guess I didn't present myself correctly. I didn't mean that kind of party. I wouldn't want to use all the money for the enviroment. I would use some for education in other countries, as well as hunger...and also to help oddball companies no one's ever heard of to get on their feet. Or something. And what do you mean "truth"? Do you mean what "we" think of as truth? To me truth is truth. I don't see pushing my views on someone as truth. Though, that's what parties tend to do I wouldn't. Ahh... I'm babbling.

The problem is we have a lot more crap happening in our own country that we are not even solving and yet we go to other countries and help the out for reasons that we need to fix in our own. It's just going to other countries, in my opinion, is just to create alliances and that may be benificial in some form or another but we must solve our own problems first.

I mean, nobody would vote for a party that didn't have strict economic goals and stuff like that. Not very many people (at least not Americans) support those sorts of values in politics.

I remember my friend made a comment like that to my English teacher like that, but he said it with good humor. He said with a woman president, we would declare war once a month, every month. My teacher just laughed it off, but seriously. To say that and actually mean it is a little too much. Not all girls are too bad when they're on their period. Maybe a little unstable sometimes, but usually controlled. Relative to the stereotype, that is.
Men are just as nuts WITHOUT their periods, and, unlike women, are completely in control of their emotions and actions 100% of the time...
Having said what I did in the previous post, this may seem a little contradictory, but don't even say that women are in control of their emotions 100% of the time. Men aren't usually unstable or uncontrollable, they're just dishonest, sometimes arrogant, and sometimes make stupid decisions on unreliable basis. But fifteen year old females from my experience are rarely in control of their emotions and actions. Teenage girls are catty, mean, manipulative, melodramatic, and sometimes just downright evil, and almost always extremists, when it comes to competition or victory. For anything, and they regularly break down and cry/get way too mad over things that just about anyone would consider petty and unimportant. teenage females do a little better with morals than men,

*sigh*

The day you get a period you'll understand... and then come to the realization that you're going to experience that same thing every single month for approximately the next 40 or so years of your life. :P

And maybe you just haven't hung around with very many girls... because generally you shouldn't even be able to tell they're on their period. Aside from maybe crying, like Neverender. said.

Also, I wouldn't suggest talking about your girlfriend like that to a group of strangers on the internet either. If you hate the girl so much then you dump her for once.

A.) I'm never getting a period, lucky for me, I have a cock.
B.) I hang out with plenty of chicks, and about fifty percent of them are obviously more bitchy and whiny then usual during their period. The other fifty percent, are frickin crazy.
C.) Don't suggest things to me, I couldn't care less about your opinion.
D.) I don't hate me girlfriend, I love her. I wasn't berating her, I was just giving an example of crazy chicks. If I didn't want to be with her I wouldn't have taken her back after she dumped me.

The reason you guys think ALL women are "bitchy, whiny, manipulative, melodramatic" is because 95% of the females you know personally are 15 year old girls, and we all know that 15 year old girls are IDIOTS. We can also agree that all 15 year old guys are idiots. But trust me people like Hilary Clinton, Condi-whatever Rice, and other women don't get into their well-respected positions through bitching and moaning once a month, and you know that. It's a little immature to say that ALL females are unfit for leadership just because the small fraction of females you actually know are so obviously unfit. The population of the United States is 300 million. There's simply too many voices.

If I could vote (I would be 17 on Election Day, 2008), I would shy away from the Republican canidates.
