I'm from Nova Scotia (born in Quebec, raised in Alberta, now living in Nova Scotia)... I honestly never EVER thought that anyone could possibly think anything of this nature about Canada.

The United States doesn't own the piece of land stretching from Argentina/Chile to the Arctic. Last time I checked, there were dozens of different countries with their own piece of land on America. The United States don't have more right than anyone else to be where they are.

wow, first of all, puppet, its conservative, i dont know if you were purposely trying to mispell it, but i dont really want to know, it was wrong either way. I dont know who said it, but whoever it was was right, there are certain americans that give us a bad name, such as that stupid ass in the movie, she deserves to be thrown into the ocean with a dead weight attached to her leg. On top of all this, the people that move to Canada do tend to be running from something, and just because theyre running doesnt mean the government is wrong or that they did something "bad". I dont know the exact figure, but the last i heard 50,000 people requested and recieved canadian citizenship because bush was elected to office, and many more claimed the apocolypse is coming, or some shit like that. I personally think that these people deserve to follow the lady in white to the bottom of the ocean, but thats not my decision. The people fleeing the draft, i dont know, i wasnt alive, so its not for me to say, but many people that go to canada are, more often than not, fleeing of their own accord and often without any just cause, such as this last election, i havent seen the end of the world yet, and i dont see it coming. All in all, i think the lady was stupid, but you people really shouldnt base your opinion of America on her, and the other people like her, trust me, theyre not all like that.. and dont let my name fool you either.

It's wrong to judge ALL Americans by a few we see on t.v. or meet. If we do this, we are just the same as them when they judge us by the mounties.

I think it'd be a BAD idea to go to Canada because of an election. Why? Because suppose you are a left winger. And you go to Canada. The election following that one will now be WITHOUT your support and the democrats will have less of a chance of winning. So you are really doing an unpatriotic act by going away as you could just fight the gov. for 4 years and try again at the new election. If you move away, your vote to your country moves away with you. People who led revolutions didn't give up and move to some other country that would satisfy them.

I understand you people may not like George Bush, because he's too "extreme". You say he is too biased in his views or too narrow minded. Many democrats are the same way but on the other side of the arguements. I think it's an unfair thing to say "Americans are stupid because they vote in stupid George Bush". Americans used to be very anti-war(like canada). They didn't enter WW1 and WW2 for the longest time. Infact, the only reason they went into WW1 is because the Germans sent a telegraph to Mexico asking them to fight the U.S. So for the longest time, U.S. was like Canada and were Peacekeepers until they got attacked regardless of their kind acts, so they decided to go into war and allways "strike before being stricken"

Don't bash a country because it's made mistakes in the past. We all make mistakes.

If Americans say "you canucks dogsled right?" and you respond "Man your a stupid idiot you dumb yankee!"....Then who seems arogant? hello, i'm american and I do not agree with the video but I still thought it was a good update. After reading through the very aggressive posts, I have found the people claiming to be Americans, seem to be the calmest and the most understanding about it, everyone else, including the ones who arn't canadian just go off on americans and diss them with all the knowledge they can bring up in there mind. As mentioned earlier and what seems to be a strong topic, 'people hate america because they don't mind there own business'. look all throughout history, great literature, wars, anything; humanity is one. The united states decided to keep to itself for some years while hitler killed over four million jews and russians and it wasn't until albert einstien told america of germany's plans to build the atomic bomb before we started planning to take action. we ended a war that took millions of lives and are trying to stop the same thing from happening again, and yes while gaining some stuff for ourselves, any country would do the same.

Dude, one of the reasons Canada is great is because we forgive nations/people when they make mistakes. We allow people a second chance after they screw up. Punching somebody because they said something bad about your country will not give Canada a good image. Instead, you need to learn to forgive people when they say something dumb or make mistakes. First of all, I would like to state that I am a Republican American. I have absolutely none of the same views as these people. I don't think we're better than anyone else, nor do I believe anyone is better than us. I love the Canadians, I have one friend that is in Canada, and two friends that live right here in Ft. Knox. They are awesome friends to have, and I don't despise them in the least bit. Second of all, I love the French, I am in the French class as it stands.

Now about what the comment that is bolded... One cannot simply state that the US would still be a British Colony if it weren't for the French. That would be like me saying that Europe would just be one big Germany if it weren't for the allies that came in to help. ((Notice I said allies, US was not the only reason the World Wars ended the way they did)) But saying that we would still be a British Colony? You cannot possibly say that and mean it as a fact. There could still have been a possibility of those that were fighting to still rise as victor over Britain. And if it did not happen then, then perhaps it could have happened another time.

But the sole fact is, most every country depends on one another. But one thing I do agree on, is that a lot of times, America should mind their own business. But what I don't agree on is people who think badly of us because of our government and our newsreporters. Most of the time, it's our newsreporters that make us look bad. Why? Because they only want to have people view information that would increase their ratings. Their are actually decent Americans out there, you can't really base a country off of the way he politics have been going or how their media are.

My French teacher, as a matter of fact, takes her classes to Europe with her every year ((provided the students can pay for it)) and it really is a neat trip. I, myself, have never been on one of these such trips, but I do know for a fact that the French do not hate us. Or they may be being nice towards us just because they have a friendly attitude.

But all I am saying is, that not everyone in America is a "stupidly biased" type of person. If you give some of us a chance, you might find that we can be quite a decent bunch. However, some of us don't even get the chance to make foreign friends because many times, those foreigners resent us in every way because of our media.

As for dissing our president, I am Republican, as I have already stated. And although I am not yet able to vote due to being a minor, I do know that I would have voted for him. Why? Because, I don't think that John Kerry could have done any better a job as president as Bush could have. It's still a matter of opinion. As for those who flee the country who don't agree with this new president, I will have to agree with the person who said that they are just doing their own party harm by fleeing. They take away yet another vote because of this. I don't hate democrats, nor should democrats hate me. We have different ideals politically, but perhaps not in real life. Someone I truly adore is a democrat.

The importance of my ramblings? It means that people of different nationalities and different parties can still get along, if only they could get past the way the politics and media have been heading. Take the time to actually get all the information you can before making an opinion of us or of others. I may be in a "bad" country right now, but I assure you, I am proud to be an American.

I want to start off by saying sorry to anyone and everyone that saw this video clip.

I am an American and I am proud of that fact. All nations have ignorant people it is just that in this case a few managed to get on TV. The way most Americans view Canada as a close friend. The USA and Canada need each other and help each other.

I ask that you do not make any judgments about America or Americans from our media whether news or TV shows or movies. The networks in this country do not show the truth rather they show what gets the best ratings. Do not believe everything you see on TV.

It amazes me to think how people can believe that [country/race] is, in anyway, superior or inferior. How does being from another country actually make you inferior or superior? I am a proud Canadian. I don't hold anything against american people, just their president and extremist right-wingers that are misinformed like the blonde woman in the video. BTW anything on the FOX channel is garbage .. lol. I watched a whole show on their dirty news tactics and now I do hate Bill O'reilly.

BTW I have never dog-sledded, watched dog-sledding, or even been near a dog sled that I know of .. but I did pet a husky once. Is that close enough? :)

Where I work I get a chance to meet alot of Americans that have cottages up here (I live about 2 hrs north of Toronto in "cottage country"). They tell me they love spending time up here because it is clean, the people are friendly and it is beautiful - and I agree whole-heartedly.

We are not about to judge a whole nation just because of one or two idiots that shoot their mouths off about us - in the same spirit I would hope that we are not judged because of any one person on this side of the fence. It's called tolerance. Our ego isn't so easily bruised that we are going to flip out because of something stupid like this. By the way, in the second video, the woman on the left of the split screen called Bush a bastard which is why that whole mess brewed up. I agreed with her on that point she had about their egos lol .. she isn't "important" so I think that whole thing was too overblown.

when you live in europe everyone takes a pop at you, i think its just friendly european banter that you make silly pops at the country next to you, I could probably reel off loads of scottish, irish, french and german jokes, but none of them are truely taken as offensive.

same as all the anti british jokes we typically recieve, dont take it personally. we are all the same and think in basically the same way, ignore what someone says on tv. if you speak to someone and like them, great. if you speak to someone and dont like them, tolerate it and find someone you do like. dont like a nation of people because of someones opinion of a few of them.

CNN took Crossfire OFF THE AIR shortly after he appeared on it. Oh so sad, and the bowtie? I think it is appalling that this s*** is on tv, excuse moi for my french. They have done the same thing about my country. They bring out a certain reporter that just rants on with words that are not based on facts. There was one report from fox about killing babies in my country. That happends to be the netherlands. They stated that we kill children that are imperfect.

I dont really know what to say about this. In one way im glad so many people are taking an interrest in their country. But on the other hand i cant help but feel somewhat dissapointed...
Canadians, why are you getting angry? You should know who/what you are as a Canadian, and you should just be proud that you were lucky enough to be born Canadian. After watching that FOX video, it made me really think - why can't we all just get along? I'm Canadian, and I don't have anything against Americans - it's just when people make assumptions about (or should I say aboot? lol) us, it makes me mad! It doesn't snow all year long, we don't dogsled or live in igloos. I've never even seen anyone dogsled and I've never seen an igloo (except for on TV maybe). I know.. it's depressing.. I love how americans hate the french so much, yet they should be the greatest allies because of what the french did for america in the american revolution. if the french didn't help, america wouldn't even be a country! Anyways, I agree, we don't need a huge military because who the heck wants to attack canada? I don't know any country who wants to. We haven't invaded any other country, so why should another country invade us. But back to the continent thing, that is just the most absurb comment on earth. I can see why so many people hate america...

There are too many stereotypes about the countries, Ive been to canada before, some of my friends are from canada. People judge america by what other people say, I dont agree with that blonde girl, I'm sure that about 1% of america gets to be on TV. Just because she thinks that way, doesnt mean that the rest of america does, including me.

america is a great country and so is canada... people think you can compare what is better, i will say usa of course because i live here. i also know that every canadien will say that canada is better. they got a bonus that they arent really targeted by these terrorist, they dont make enemies so that is why they dont really fear anything. i do hate that one blonde on fox though, she is stupid. you might find the occasional person saying the other country is better but those are the same people that say " my life sucks, everyone else has it better than me, im going to listen to linkin park" those are the same losers that will prolly turn emo.

to all the canadians out there getting all pissy and stuff about this video CALM DOWN. take a deap breath in. its going to be ok. not every american is like the woman in that video. lets try not to judge an entire country by some stupid woman (yes im being redundant by saying stupid and woman in the same sentance). her views are not nescisarily the views of everyone, and her views also dont matter to most of the country.

listen to this guy all of you canadians-who-think-they-are-hotstuff-cause-they-saw-this-one-biased-video i mean really its not that big of a deal, but i think yall shouldnt be protesting the war on terrorism and she is right about all the anti-americans going to live in cannwe paid the french back in good old "WWII" by helping form a french resisntance and by invading the enemy captured part of france (by thr way u had better not say a dam thing bad about "operation overlord<d-day>" because my grand dad s in the 2nd wave of soldiers to be sent to normandy, he survived d-day and helped free france from the nazi forces, he also was in the division that cracked in infamous nazi bunker at saint-lo, he single handedly stopped the nazi armored forces from completely overwhelming use at the battle of the bulge by calling in the artillary strike that blew up more than half of the german armored vehicles and no this wasnt some highranking officer he was a private or just an infantryman, and he is not famous today. he doesnt have a medal of honer for what he did because of one requirement "to have at least 2 wittnesses+ (there arnt 2 witnesses left alive 2day). this man represents the american will to fight for freedom and for the good of mankind.

ok back on subject, canada isnt that bad of a place. isnt canada one of our allies? yes it is but they dont act like it because they are against the war on terrorism and the dont atleast support us in any way whatsoever. also here is a thing for all of you canadians to think about...

if canada was attacked, invaded, or captured by enemys who would be the first countries to help you?
