That sounds pretty ideal for most kids seeing as how I see a bunch of 11 year olds play in servers with 8 of their level 70 characters.

Its sad how much some people are absolutely obsessed with WoW. My cousin and his sister are like glues to it. Every time i see them now, they just keep to themselves and talk amongst eachother about it. They play it like 6-8 hours a day as well.

That was more scary than funny.

This is why I stopped online games. Though aside from being addictive, I think my main reason was I got fed up of getting a bunch of stuff then losing it all so I had to slave over it again.

I don't play online games except occasionally DoD source or some RTS's. MMO's are pretty much crack.

Same, that was the only one though. I have been clean of it for almost nine months now.

I've played WoW though, but I was never truly addicted to it. I did play a little more than usual though, but now I stopped playing because I got a bit bored of it. I hated dealing with those damn kids who thought they knew what they were doing when in reality they just suck.

And it's so true. It's just sad. There's addicted, and then there's addicted to WoW. So many kids spend days and days on end playing that game. It literally becomes a substitute for real life, and then finally, after a year, when the kid's parents tell him no more forever, he's wasted a year of his life. It's so pathetic.

WoW does a lot of things to people.

D & D all over again. People got so lost in that game, at least they actually dealt with people though.

They get addicted to that game because it becomes just like real life to them...except it's a game so they find that funner. Like people just replace their real lives with WoW which is why it's so addicting, it's like a substitute for Real Life once you're hooked. There's also the fact that there's a lot of things to do in the game so it never ends and people want to finish the game but they can't finish it.

A lot of parents have problems when their kids get hooked on WoW as well...so yes that's what a parent would commonly do if they know the effects of WoW.

I beleive they get addicted because it gives them a chance to make a name for millions of players/people
They can build a fortune, an ongoing storyline, and it's a game you just can not ever finish, there's always something new to do

I am the master of solitaire. I've spent endless nights recently staying up, listening to rave/techno (I've finally fallen victim), and playing solitaire. By the time I'm done playing my face is just inches from the screen and the image of the card King is burned into the backs of my eyelids.
