I making a small flash movie for Gprime and I just can't get sound recored from my mic. into my flash movie. plese help!!! thanks.

could you give more detail than that ... where are you stuck

Record your voice, with sound recorder or wahtever

save it as wav or whatever

then go to import in flash ...

WHich step are you stuck with?

well i can just use the defult sound recorder with windows and I have saved it as WAV and put it in my Library. I want it so it plays along with my flash movie. Thanks

Do you know how to put sound onto the flash timeline period, and if your having mp3 problems with flash it has to be the file or format right click it and check the properties plus test the wav format using flash. Or if you can get wav files into your documents you would be better off converting all your mp3's to wav and import them that way. :soccer:

You don't drag the sound you click on a blank keyframe on an empty layer select properties then theres a drop down box to select which sound you want to add you don't drag and drop it.

Do you have a screen shot to back that up, because theres no "drop down box" anywhere...

and you should have your sound in your movie now, but you will only see your sound in you drop down menu if you have imported the sound previously.


P.S if theres graphic interference on the mp3 timeline it aint a blank keyframe i can't stress that enough the sound has to be on a blank keyframe with NO graphics.

Theres many different ways of stopping the sound looping the most obvious thing i can think of is making your timeline longer, but if you wanted to use the more advanced approach you would need to learn how to use movie clips there worth learning if you enjoy using flash.And to make your windows look cool like you said visit www.download.com and download window blinds or visit www.wincustomize.com for it also and you can get really cool skins for it at www.skinbase.org :smokeing1

Just download a ready made preloader and add your graphics sound colour and logo to that.

Dude, I know nothing about preloaders except the fact that they let you press play.... I dont know where to DL them or put em in, and add graphics n stuffs.
And whats the feature called where at the end you can make it replay?...

Do you have flash for a start anyway if you do open the preloader in flash and mess around wtih it for a while making loads of different copies till you see what one works best give me 5 mins till i rustle you up a copy of a preloader.

So you played my game out of curiosity which site did you visit to play that game i made, And what your looking for is different it isn't a preloader your looking for it's a stop script and a replay button with some Script attached to it, are you familiar with the actionscript box yet caus you will need to be to make that work but only the basics.
