Well, even if you don't drive, you have probably seen those obnoxious blue Honda civics with the loud - ass muffler, body kits, spoilers, rims, and carbon fiber hoods. They stop next to you on a red light and everyone in your car turns to the side to look at the tricked out civic. The guy in the car is in his early twenty's, uses too much hair gel, and wears a leather jacket like he's some street racing big shot. I use to hate these guys. Until I played some Need for speed, Midnight club, and started watching episodes of bull run, and sometimes even getting tempted to go into those "Drivers Image" Mod shops.
Well, I got hooked on those cars, knowing that when I turn 16, oh man will I get a tricked out civic, Mazda, Subaru or even BMW. At least I wish I could. I saw one of those cars on eBay. $8,450. Holy shit. Normal 2007 civics are about 17,000 dollars. Maybe this is because of a lousy engine, dents, or flat tires. After I played some of the Need for speed video games, I got hooked on BMW's and drifting. My dad did, too. He drives a
1992 Mercedes - Benz 190e. He got it for about as much as that tricked out civic I was talking about. My dad, out of nowhere, started modding it. Just today he got some new exhaust tips. He started with chrome mirror covers, then came the spoiler, then the door handles, and now this. Sooner or later, he'll get some new bumpers and rims. That would be sweet. Now you see kids like me, saying "He doesn't know ANYTHING about cars. The price of rims, bumpers, and even the price of the car itself! He only cares about how "awesome" it looks!!!" Well, Ive taken that into consideration. I know how much rims and bumpers cost, Some good, chrome rims, about $3500 or so, and the bumpers? $250 to $500 dollars. But One of those "Drivers Image" mod shops are 4 blocks away from my house, and as 16 - year old, plan to get a job here, as a greasemonky. "Oh dear, you really want to be sticking your head into the engine replacing pistons, working with Pablo?" -- My mom.
Yeah, I do. Pablo gets some serious cash there. And besides, I don't plan on street racing, I just want to look cool while getting from point A to point B.
Well, now, I think nonstop about cars, and what car I would by as a teenager.
And I like it.
